When the Misamis Oriental top CFC Council leaders and sector heads unilaterally abandoned the CFC Community, “Pontius Pilates” among the CFC followers grappled with understanding the TRUTH that the same leaders were given a "tit for tat", or got what they asked for, the simple message being that a CFC leader does not mess with the God-given responsibility he voluntarily accepted, because the community has trusted him and lifted to Almighty God his wise stewardship of the structure the CFC members cast their renewed Christian life in.
Accordingly, a top leader in the CFC-IC and the "rebel leaders" used the “Parable of the Prodigal Son” to explore ways at reconciliation, which they could not arrive at because the latter made demands up front.
Recently, we have “learned” of an email from Bro. Mon Saguin, who hails from the historic town of Jimenez in Misamis Occidental (hope my memory serves me right). Brother Mon was a very active member of the CFC Community in Cagayan de Oro City before he left for New York with his family. Using the "Parable of the Prodigal Son" as "framework", Brother Mon sees an opportunity for reconciling and reuniting the followers of FFL, GK and CFC in Misamis Oriental.
I reacted to Brother Mon's mail, which drew the responses of CFC brethren from Cagayan de Oro who are now based in the US, all of which are quoted below.
We all aim for the same objectve of FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION, and the opportunity that now obtains is in sincerely walking the same path without conditions or demands, carrying our own crosses for the love of our God and neighbor.
HERE’S BROTHER MON SAGUIN:

I documented most of the CFC activities that we had in 1993 and onwards especially the Family Activities in YFC and SFC. It started with the intention of simply showing the video clips to my son Raymond who was wheelchair bound, although there were events that he participated himself as in attending a youth camp on his wheelchair. I was actually excited with what was going on in CFC and I wanted to share this by showing my son what was happening in our community and the impact that it made on me and others. He was particularly awed when I showed him video clips about GK and when I brought him to the GK site in Pasil. I have all these events archived in my computer not realizing of what use they may have aside from my own consumption of reviewing them whenever I reminisce. I couldn't find the right moment of putting these events on DVD and deposit them in a CFC library in Misamis Oriental until the recent events in our community when I decided to bring them out and share these to you. I
remember well when we had the provincial conference in Misamis Oriental sometime in 2001 when the theme of the community was United in Christ. I led the praisefest with the Fyrecross band at the Pelaez Sports Complex where we exhorted the whole community to be One or united in the direction CFC was pursuing at that time – which is the totally of the Work in CFC with the spiritual dimension and the social dimension in our Work with the Poor in Gawad Kalinga in place. We didn’t realize then that at the height of the Work in the succeeding years, the GK leadership would start to pursue a direction/implementation apart from CFC which eventually brought the whole community to a global crisis situation in 2007 even as other causes were being enumerated. And even before the dust could settle to the ground, the crisis situation continued with the current leadership in 2009 leading them to decide to let go of GK and allow it to be a non-religious organization instead.
But then again the storm continued to sweep across the land eventually affecting the community in Misamis Oriental. It appears that the strength of the storm remains unabated after two years to inflict more damage, sow more confusion and dampen the hearts of many in our community. Currently our country is experiencing the damages caused by powerful typhoons, one after the other – as if reminding us of the results after physical storms sweep through the land. But at the same time, showing us how we can unite together, help each other and how people around the world rush to the rescue in areas afflicted by such calamities. Hence with the spiritual storms that we are facing, the time has come for all of us to humble ourselves and bow down in prayer and ask God to heal our community and calm the storm.. The time has come for all of us here in Couples for Christ all over the world to join hands together – as CFC-GMFI, CFC-FFL and CFC-GK and those that chose to leave – in facing this storm. Our petition will be “. . . knit our hearts together that Your Glory may be seen in us. . . then the world will know that Jesus Christ is Lord . . .” I believe that we are made to realize that the only recourse available to us is to reunite and become One community again in facing these storms. How this will ever happen depends on all of us, by His guidance. Let us continue to believe and it is all up to us for this to remain as mere wishful thinking.
The calling then at that time before the onset of the crisis situation was for the whole community to stand as One in vision and mission – as families in the Holy Spirit renewing the face of the earth. Where every member of the family has a role to play – in building the Church of the Home, of the Future and of the Poor in proclaiming that Jesus Christ is Lord in the family, in Misamis Oriental and to the whole world. I chose the song One Voice as the reflection song during the praisefest which was sung by Candy. I will upload the video of that praisefest in a series of video clips entitled “Reminiscing CFC-Misamis Oriental” starting with the YFC presentation of The Prodigal Son. I am bringing this forth by putting aside my own stand and inclinations about the situation in CFC. But I intend to simply join in with the rest of us who are praying and longing for the unity that can be seen in these video clips. Click the YouTube links below to browse through each video clip of the play about the Prodigal Son, the CFC events of the province, and the praisefest at the Pelaez Sports Complex.
I chose the parable of the Prodigal Son as the background theme of this series of video clips. I discerned that the crisis situation in Couples for Christ until the recent events in Misamis Oriental can be addressed in the ways that God has been offering us in the Scriptures particularly the parable of the Prodigal Son. I firmly believe that our prayers for reconciliation are well answered by God in this story. It is up to us to do our part.
I attended a bible study in New York handled by a priest and the topic was the parable of the Prodigal Son. I admit that the only viewpoint I spoused about this parable is that the father in the story is God Himself while the two sons would symbolize us as the children of God. I focused more on the need of our repentance and that God as our Father will forgive us. I would identify myself as the younger son who sinned, then repented and finally returned home to our Father who embraced him with unconditional love and forgiveness, while the elder son complained of the attention given to the younger brother. Hence I left the character of the father unblemished being symbolic of God Himself. However the priest led us into a discussion of the parable in a different perspective. You may have heard of this before but it was the first time for me to view the parable in a different way – to focus on the character of the father.
I believe this parable contains the solution to every disagreement or conflict that we in CFC and the Family Ministries find ourselves in – whether between members or between leaders or more so between members and leaders. I believe that there are situations where we could identify ourselves as the younger brother or the elder brother or even the father depending on the circumstances. The structure in CFC would portray such relationships as we relate with each other as brothers and sisters; the household heads are the big brothers and big sisters; the unit heads then assume pastoral headship up to the chapter heads, up to the local area councils and finally up to the International Council.
The priest brought us to focus on the father in the parable and described him based on the story – that the father was a wealthy but stern, strict and stingy and with a character highly unlikable by anybody including his two sons - as the younger son left with all his inheritance while the elder son complained that the father never gave them any feast/celebration at all in the past as he kept on working in the field away from home. He felt that he was treated like a slave. In a sense both the sons did not like the father to a certain extent. And with no mention at all about his wife, this father must have some attitude disliked by women as well or maybe he was a widower as the priest would put it.
With the sons away from home, the father was left all by himself in loneliness. More so with the younger son who left far away from home and not having any communication at all. The father can see the older son at certain times at home but not the younger son who is far away. Years must have passed and the father must have thought that the younger son is already dead as there was no communication at all and there was a great famine that hit the land. And this situation must have brought the father to repent and change his ways as he missed the younger son after all these years thinking that he was already dead. The loneliness must have brought him to examine his ways and attitude. His sufferings must have brought him to repent and a personal conversion must have happened.
As a way of personal reflection, it was the same loneliness and suffering that my family went through with our only son Raymond who had an incurable neuromuscular disorder. He died in February 2, 2003 here in Philadelphia and for twenty years of his life, I went through an examination of my ways and attitude towards God. And I praise Him for bringing my family here in this community in 1991 where our conversion was well guided and nurtured by our elders as represented by Frank Padilla, Tony Meloto, Lito Urgino, the rest of our elders in the International Council and my household heads and elders in CFC-Misamis Oriental. I thank them all for giving their time to the Lord and in the process helped me and my family to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior and live a life with joy despite afflictions.
The father in the parable must have made it a daily routine to look out the window hoping that his younger son will come home. He started to long for his lost son to return home. And one day it did happen as he was looking out the window, he saw a figure that looked like his son. And maybe even as he was not sure that it was his son, he ran to meet him with compassion in his heart. The words in Scripture says, “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.”- Luke 15:20
The story clearly brought the characters – the father and the younger son - to a period of repentance and change of ways and attitude and eventually reconciled. The father who used to be stern and strict became a father who is forgiving, loving and filled with compassion that he ran towards his lost son rather than stayed and waited for the son to come to him in repentance and invoke his authority as expected of him. But instead the father ran to meet the son - which was considered humiliating an act by a wealthy and strict father at that time. But instead he did not demand anything from the son but with all his heart embraced him and forgave him. Even at a distance, the father ran to meet the lost son – it was probably an act to protect the son from humiliation and possible harm or public stoning by the community for his rebellious act (Deuteronomy 21:18-21). He further showed the change in him when he ordered for a celebration which he never did before. The words in Scriptures says, “ 22But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.” And the father restored to him his place of inheritance and sonship as symbolized by the robe, the ring and the sandals.
The older brother in contrast responded negatively to what the father did. But still the father went out to appease him – the same response he had to the younger son by going out of the house to meet him and pleaded with him to join in the celebration. The words in Scriptures says, 28"The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!' Here the older brother refers to his younger brother as “the son of yours” instead of being a brother to him and started making accusations against him. And he also felt unappreciated and unrewarded by the father for his deeds and therefore has been harboring resentments. But older sons usually get a greater part of the inheritance and takes care of younger brothers who are in hard times. Apparently the older son was not willing to accept this responsibility to the younger son and even appeared not claiming him as a brother anymore. Again the father showed his eagerness to have the older son share in the joy of the celebration. The words in Scriptures says, 31" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "
The story of the Prodigal Son aptly shows the ways that we can follow in addressing challenges affecting relationships as is happening in our family and in our community here in CFC and the Ministries. At the same time the story also shows the ways that we should not resort to – as in the father correcting the older son.. And even if the older son sounded disrespectful of him and to the younger brother, the father restored just the same the family relationship amongst them. Repentance and reconciliation is the focus of the story not just by the younger son but by the father as well – who did not wait for any apology on the part of the younger son but rather anticipated it by heart and went on to run to him in order to embrace him with unconditional acceptance. There is no greater precedence that this - for anyone elder, no matter how right he may be against another, choose to ask forgiveness first and then to forgive.
This is our hope and our prayer – that we all not only adopt a repentant posture, members and leaders alike but “run to embrace each other” without any conditions in restoring back our community to the one community that was started 28 years ago – starting here in Misamis Oriental. This presentation is not for us to identify who is at fault but to see ourselves in the story and identify with a particular character in the present circumstances in our community. It is not the time to assert who is right but it is the time for us to love and love even those we find so difficult to love. It is not also the time to point out who is in or out of the community for nowhere in the story did the father disown his sons even if the sons didn’t like the ways of the father. And even if the central theme of the story is repentance and forgiveness, which should be in everyone’s heart already, let us focus more on the picture of the father receiving the son back into relationship as a response to repentance by both of them. This is the purpose of this presentation – a relationship restored as one community or as being partners in mission. And as a corollary, how could we offer our sacrifices at the altar if there is a brother or sister outside that we need to be reconciled with. And besides Scriptures says that a house divided against itself will not be able to stand - Mark 3:25.
I believe that the calling is for all of us to adopt the posture of the father in the story as we proclaim in the year to come, fullness of life in the Son and as we acknowledge the Father as the Almighty who is Just and Righteous. The priest in that bible study ended with the exhortation that suffering is an opportunity for us to repent and be reconciled with God and with one another.
I would like to praise and thank you Father for Couples for Christ and the challenges and spiritual storms that we are facing – for such situations will bring us to repent and change our ways and become more like You who ran towards Your lost sons and daughters. Allow us to do the same to one another in our community today. Allow us to run towards each other in tender and loving embrace as brothers and sisters in your Name. In the same way as our Mother Mary, make each one of us say, “. . . be it unto me according to Your Word”. Father, let Your Will be done as we seek You and worship You in Spirit and in Truth. Mother Mary, our Mother of Forgiveness, pray for us. Amen.

Brother Mon:
Got a copy of your email. Thank you for sharing your candid thoughts about unity and reconciliation of CFC groups that can start in Misamis Oriental.
We know you have been FFL and an avid follower and defender of F Padilla from the time he split CFC because of conflicts with GK and T Meloto. We have seen how you worked hard and dedicatedly for CFC while here in Cagayan de Oro, and understand the struggles you had to go through in the US with your disabled son... And likewise wished you had seen the conflict between FP and Meloto then from the perspectives of the defenders of the original CFC that was and continues to be aligned with the IC and the Vatican.
We have common experiences in building the GK village in Pasil, which no mainstream or separatist faction of the original CFC can claim exclusive claim, patent, right, or title to.
I wish to raise TWO (2) points:
ONE: Yes, Misamis Oriental province may provide venue for a "deus ex machina", an act of God to reunite CFC. We see humanly irreconcilable forces coming in to further divide or else unite CFC: FFL, which has a few following in Cagayan de Oro, through Nani Almanza of FFL-USA or upon prodding by FFL Servant-General Frank Padilla, has signified it was siding with the separatist group of del Fierro (so-called "CFC-GK) even if the latter is very probably a protege of TM whose GK was the main reason for the break-up CFC in the province end of July, 2009. (Of course it is not unknown to quite a number that GK top management, including TM, was very much elated that finally CFC made GK autonomous by the act of “letting it go" last end of April, 2009, which event might have been anticipated by F Padilla who totally rejected GK in his "GK-3" opus in April, 2007). If, for whatever cause or circumstance, TM and FP reconcile in Misamis Oriental under the "CFC-GK" group of del Fierro, then perhaps a consequent negotiation for unity with the real, mainstream CFC-IC may not be far behind. Since by now it has been clear as daylight that GK cannot stand alone to "evangelize" about "working with and for the poor" without CFC, and since FFL here may not duplicate what CFC has been doing, perhaps the del Fierro group will do the IMPOSSIBLE DREAM of genuine repentance and bring the FFL and GK factions back to the fold of CFC-IC. In this sense we see a window of opportunity for Misamis Oriental to be the springboard for reconciliation just as it provided a "beachead" for CFC in North Mindanao during the "golden era" of F Padilla leadership. TWO: In interpreting that the Father in the parable of the '"Prodigal Son" repented for his strict attitude towards his two sons, your "bible study priest" could just as well retitled the same parable with "The Repentant Father". While I admire said priest for his audacity and respect his point of view, I don't think I can agree with his reinterpretation of the theme. The parable of the "prodigal son" is about the "prodigal son" and his ever-loving father, the MAN with an OUTSTRETCHED HANDS, a loving person who is always ready to unconditionally forgive and embrace a sinful but repentant son. In the story, the Father knew his son was repentant, for he did not come swaggering around with the untold wealth he could have amassed using his share of the family fortunes, nor could he come home to ask for more, no, Brod Mon. Still, I agree with you, Brod Mon. The key toward reconciliation of factions using the name “CFC” is in the Gospel about the Prodigal Son. GOD BLESS YOU, BROD Wishing you well, M-CDO |

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Warm greetings in Christ Name
Susan and me are always proud of being a CFC member from CDO. We were moulded by leaders whom we believed have the highest integrity and who love God so much. We can't forget our first HH head Dick Jongko (a KSD faithful servant), who guided us, prayed hard for our convertion and eventually led us to love God so much that we're willing to give our all for Him. We also can't forget Vic Lagdamen, Ed Paalam, Lito Urgino. TM and FP and all the other leaders who taught us many things about loving God and loving our neighbors.
The recent problems in our community gave us so much pain. We never thought conflict like this will happen in a beautiful community like ours but it really happened and it's really "nasty". How could people who called each other brothers and sisters became like this? We don't want to blame anyone however we are praying hard that concerned leaders should humble themselves, repent, ask forgiveness and come home like the prodigal son. We are hopeful that as God's promise "everything work good for those who love and serve the Lord." We can't be enemies for sure.
We will always be a brother or a sister to those in the CFC-FFL and we will always support GK but Susan and me will be a CFC member forever. We experienced the joy of a borderless and global evangelization and we will continue doing this work because this is the great commmission that God gave us.
May God bless us all!

To M CDO, Peace! Whoever you are, this is my observation of the situation as compared to the loving father of the prodigal son story of the Bible The loving father never hesitated to give in to the request of the prodigal son even if it was not the proper time to get his share of the wealth. He gave him what he had asked without any reservations nor had he uttered unfavorable words to mean like rebel or separatist, or any adjective that any father, at the height of anger, could make to describe his son's action. He was even tolerant. His sharing of his wealth to his son is the manifestation of his love and permission to his son's going to far away places. He did not send people to spy on his activities and never made any move that will ruin their relationship. Instead, he waited for the day when the Prodigal (Luxurious, Extravagant and Wasteful) Son will return to him. As expected, the son who have sinned because of squandering the wealth that the loving father gave him, came, for he knew that the father -- loving as he is, did not harbor any resentment or grudge towards him. When he recognized his son still far off, he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him which was a show of forgiveness, protection and love even before the son could utter the words of repentance. The prodigal son mentioned in the Bible was not rebellious. He properly asked from his father his share of the families fortune but he was extravagant and wasteful, sinfully spending all the treasures that his loving father shared to him. I didn't experience or witness an act of wastefulness and extravagance on our separated brothers and sisters. In fact, the former council had managed the finances and resources of CFC/MOR wisely and even produced bigger amounts for CFC National share which did not happen on the previous administrations. Thus, I do not agree the label you described them as Prodigal Sons. Cutting ties in writing is not a disrespectful and disobedient act. It is a gentlemanly decision that a person can do if remedies for unity are not being met. Also, to call them rebels is not appropriate for as they separate I never heard them doing or acting something to destroy CFC not unless you consider continuing the work which they believe in as rebellious. My only wish to our elders is for them to LET GO and LET GOD do the rests. Who knows someday or somehow our separated brothers and sisters will come and say, " I have sinned against you and to God please forgive me!" When? Only God knows! God bless you! 2k2k CFC-West LA GK Volunteer |

It was neither "wastefulness" nor "extravagance", but pure and simple fear of being replaced because of the survey that was conducted by the the elder who oversees the Region, of which Misamis Oriental is a part. That elder was requested by the CFC-IC to conduct the survey.
The prodigal behavior was in "cutzpah", the self-confidence that they (the "rebellious"leaders) could have their way, having arrogated unto themselves the power and privilege of leadership without regard to simple obedience and servant-leadership.
And the the prodigality was in the consummation of the arrogant behavior in the unilateral move to declare they were not longer respecting, obeying, nor following the command chain from the CFC-IC.
Too bad, their "bluff was called" as one opinionated.
Thanks and bless you, Brod.
MCDO.
"...wise stewardship of the structure the CFC members cast their renewed Christian life in."
As CFC member, I have permanently cast and etched my renewed Christian life in the CFC-IC structure which I vowed to follow together with my wife and my "medium"=sized family.
May all the unnecessary sub-structures, branches or "twigs", or "genetically altered" CFC strains that have sprouted or spawned be removed, cut, trimmed. burned or "chemo-theraphed" as the case may be.
Maybe we can also take a look at our local conflict from the perspective of our Lord as the vineyard farmer (John 15:1-6)?
"wastefulness" and "extravagance"
tito d, take note. you and your brothers might want to look into it. ;p

There is already a new guideline on CFC and GK collaboration from CFC Chairman Joe Tale. Our case here in Cagayan de Oro City is unique. I wonder if this Blog can be venue for opinions about the search for common areas to work on Community Building (or GK) which is one of the programs under ANCOP, the expanded work for the poor of CFC.
Oh, YES, Joseph. WE (you and I, all of us) need to look into 'dem' "wasteful and extravagant" behaviors and practices, whatever and wherever they are. Salamat for your curt reply.

GIVE ME FIVE, Anonymous nga igsoon October 15, 2009 7:29 AM. Agree ko. Hulat ta "igtin-aw..." (Let's waint for the murky water to clear.)
Mas maayo gayud ang work for the poor nga private and religious-based, labing mayo pud sa mga Catoliko nga ipasubay kini sa Iglesia Catolica, dili sama ana nila nga mouban-uban o mosundog-sundog sa secular ug political “way” brandishing the usual cliches about “heroes,” "heroism," and “nation-building.” Maayo pa ang mga RIZALISTA kay klaro.
Ako lang kini opinyon: Walay baha o unos makalampas o makabungkag o makapanas sa dakong pagsalig sa usa ka kinabuhi nga nabag-o ug busog sa paghigugma sa Dios ug sa isig-kaingon, tungod sa pamaagi sa Ebanghelyo or or “Evangelistic Way” nga gi-pundar sa Couples for Christ!
[When the murky typhoon water is gone, the “deep well” will clear revealing GK’s community chest emptied... and frustrating any hope that fund flows from political plans and maneuverings will replenish the expenses. Obviously, many of our leaders bled for the poor with their various pro-poor programs, but they actually shed tears of joy toward the banks in order to withdraw hefty profits for “banking” on the poor. (This is a general statement, and if some of us in CFC will come to the defense of the popular politicians alluded to, or feel they actually are, then it’s OK because we have freedom of expression.)
It is better to engage in pro-poor projects via private or religious organizations, in line with the Catholic Church especially for Catholics, unlike some of them there who merely imitate the usual clichés about work for the poor such as “heroes,” “heroism,” or “nation-building.” In fact, the followers of Rizal (Philippine National Hero) called “RIZALISTA” are more authentic in living those clichés.
This is just my personal opinion: No flood or typhoon can cast or break away or eliminate the firm hope and faith of a life that is full and filled with the Love of God and neighbor because of the
”Evangelistic Way” founded in it by Couples for Christ!.]
Alang dili mosubra nga nag hinakog man sila.
PAD?
Brod/Sis Anonymous (“about survey and leadership change”):
Sharing lang kini, ha? Mas maayo kon kanang imong pangutana i-refer nimo sa imong HH nga maoy mangutana sa “higher” leader up the ladder, dili pailalum (kon dili kaayo ka niya matubag). Of course we understand nga mopaklaro usab ta kong kulang kitag kahibalo (meaning the vitue of honesty). Sa atong cultura, motoo ra ba kita sa atong lider, unless otherwise proven nga siya dili maayo in the context of our cultura sa "correction", "stewardship", ug "pastoral leadership", among others.
Ang pagpangutana kung unsa ang maayo puede buhaton pinaagi sa informal survey (open-ended), o puede pud pinaagi sa structured survey (usually closed questionnaire), or both. Wala may hard and fast rule ani, Brod/sis.
Sa akong nahibaloan, dihang nangutana ang higher leader nga RH-NEM (two steps higher than del Fierr and the Council), migamit siya ug prepared questions inubanan sa open-ended interview guides. Giconsolidate niya ang mga impormasyon kon unsa ang perception sa possible mahitabo sa Provincial Council Leadership – I venture nga naa kini tabular data sa mga tubag sa gi-survey ug naa usab iyang mga “insights” – the usual thing done in making a report. Kadto nga consolidated data iyang gipadangat sa lider nga nag-supervise directly sa Provincial Council – nga mao ang Provincial Area Head in the person of Bro. JoeyArguelles. Wala man kuno siya nag-ingon nga ilisan na gayud ang mga liders kay dili man kadto katungod sa nangutana; hinunoa nangutana siya ug hypothetical question, such as:
“Brod/Sis, when the new Area Head takes over, he may have an option to retain, partially change, or totally change the members of the Area Council. In your opinion, what will be the option, and why?
Or the question might be:
"Brod, if you were appointed to the Council, what do you think will be needed: change some, change all?" Or questions to this effect...
Joey Arguelles lamang as the Provincial Area Head for Misamis Oriental effective July14, 2009.
Joey Arguelles, which could make him also decide whether or not the Area Council of Brother Jun del Fierro would be in status quo, or would have a minor revamp, or major revamp.
Things did not turn out right kay gipasanginlan naman hinuon ang nangutana nga RH-NEM nga mao kuno ang magmaniobra sa pagpuli sa Area Council (duna seguro “bad blood” which CFC leaders should not harbor, or else pray or throw away). Jun. Then i-discern nilang tanan unsay maayo. Human makalaro unsa ang option, ayha pa unta maghimo drastic action, kon kinahanglan man gayud.
Hinunoa, kadto nga RH-NEM maoy higher than Bro. Joey Arguelles, si kinsa mao ray naay katungod pag-decide sa composition sa council sa Misamis Oriental as its Provincial Area Head.
Ultimately, Brod/Sis, and point nako diri mao nga adunay process and structure nga gasundon ang atong leaders nga mga hamtong na man isab sa ilang pagkapangulo. Let us be faituful to ur Covenant and pray about out situation in CFC. GOD BLESS US ALL.
In connection sa bagong guidelines tungkol sa work on GK, meron Anonymous blogger dito na nag-aalburoto tungkol sa pagpatakbo ng GK sa Malaybalay. I learned this was then some kind of "delicate" issue. Accordingly, the first formal act of collaboration on GK with LGU, through a joint undertaking with the Bukidnon Provincial Government to build the GK Capitol Village would be threatened if additional costs were charged to the partnership with the LGU because the financial estimates formally presented by TM was based on siting the proposed Capitol Village over a flat and not sloping ("bakilid" sabi) terrain. It was volunteered that TM assured the local CFC/GK point-person that CFC would shoulder the costs and recover the loss in some other projects. (Sabi pa nga ng iba, pati ang funds from raffle ticket sales for the CFC home office building in Misamis Oriental ay nakaltasan at nasamsam pati - c/o PAD-BroAV - dahil sa kapalpakan ni TM doon sa Capitol GK...ay, sori! Ewan!)
Sabi ng isa dito, "banking on the poor"...
Joe Tale bago mo i-close itong Blog (as you have hinted) or else find out kung useful, helpful, or upbuilding pa rin ang pag-exchange ng views dito tungkol sa subsequent collaboration between CFC and GK as outlined by the CFC International Council through Bro. Joe Tale. Salamat. God bless you all, po.
Ang Santo Papa bitaw mag-election man sila.
If not for PRIDE and DISOBEDIENCE nina TITO JUN et al, CFC here could just normally move on, like in any other province in the country, where:
CFC management of GK and/or CFC participation in GK work follows the CFC structure, and any participation by CFC in GK is authorized or acknowledged by the CFC-IC. Heh heh.
1. Matud M-CDO, walay "hard and fast" rule sa pagkuha or "reflect" sa reality. Usa ka pamaagi lang ang survey. There are surveys and there are surveys.
Walay limit kung unsa nga technic ang buhaton for as long as the objective of getting ground information is attained. And also, that the data and information gathered are objectively useful, puede pud i-validate o estoryahan, i-DISCERN, ug uban pa. Buot pasabot, basehan lamang. In our case, this is also when we pray for guidance.
2. Sumala sa statutes, ang global members of the elders assembly (walay labot ang position ni JDF sa MisOr, pero kadtong taas-taas ug senior niya) maoy ma-involve sa election of the IC. Weeks before, ang tanan mga ngalan sa EA gi-distribute na ug gahangyoon ang igsoon involved to pray over them and seek guidance on the first seven names that he/she would elect. These are formally expressed in a secret ballot on the day set which is usually preceded with a Holy Retreat and preconference of elders in Manila.
In the case of the Provincial Area Council, like in Misamis Oriental, only the Provincial Area Head selects or disbands the membership, and an election as you have suggested may not happen unless the Vatican-approved statutes are changed.
3. Now, about so-called Style, if you are a card-carrying member of CFC, then you know there is only one - TAKE UP YOUR CROSS, WHATEVER SYLE THAT MAY BE, AND FOLLOW THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
4. SALAMAT, IGSOON.
MCDO,Thank you! Klaro na nako! God bless you!
Hey, DAHAN-DAHAN LANG SIGURO, BROD ANONYMOUS of of October 17, 2009 2:36 AM, on your unedifying comments.
The Capitol Village GK, the first-ever CFC partnership on GK with the LGU, involved the construction of more than 100 housing units in 30 days, in time to showcase Bukidnon’s poverty alleviation program when the Philippine President would come for the Province’s annual fiesta celebrations.
Believing that “CFC is GK and GK is CFC”, GK volunteers in CFC oozed with zeal to bring that ambitious low-cost project to reality. But that was admittedly more “all sound and fury signifying nothing” because CFC was ”zilch” in terms of real estate/housing management. We WANTED to express our faith and love of God in physical terms, to “walk our talk” through the shelter projects which we said we could build at lower costs through “padugo”, as our combined skilled and unskilled work-hours, together with the other material donations, were our non-cash equity in an “investment in hope” for our poorer brethren.
QUESTIONS:
How would we handle our religious transaction costs or advantages in a partnership with secular state institutions like an LGU in Bukidnon? How would we efficiently build 100 plus houses on a hill based on costs for flat terrain when it became awkward to re-negotiate a newly-signed partnership agreement? What if the 25 or so municipal LGUs that were assigned one house each to build did not bring their own construction materials as agreed but threatened violence with handguns in order to forcibly withdraw raw materials from CFC-maintained stockpiles and build their unis? And what of that to you, dear Brother Anonymous, if the CFC elder tasked by TM to help oversee the project drinks mineral water with the rest, or checks at a hotel as he oversees the transactions of the CFC FLAME Ministry for the whole of Mindanao and part of Visayas while acting also as Provincial Head of Bukidnon helping oversee the GK project? Did you check if the costs of mineral water and accommodation were permissible for such scale of work that elder was doing for CFC even before the GK project? What would that be to you, Brod, if after overseeing Bukidnon the same elder goes to Davao or flies out to Leyte for FLAME-related work? Ano ka ba? Did you also check that at that time at least, Sawaga River in Malaybalay was polluted and that it was better to avoid amoeba disease by desisting from drinking local public water? Since we had volunteers from all over, might it promote their safety if they were provided with mineral water? And, doesn’t God’s workers deserve their “just reward” also?
Sampler of the nitty-gritty concerns faced in building the GK Capitol Village:
How would the materials be purchased as budgeted considering the understated costs in builidng the houses on a sloping terrain? Who has the final say in inventory control if the municipal officials concerned added features to the housing units assigned to their municipalities – like making sarimanok roofs that incurred additional material and labor costs? Who shoulders the resulting cost from idled hours of “army” of workers hitching a ride from Tagoloan to Capitol Village on returning bagasse delivery trucks - they were mobilized by the CFC East Sector in Misamis Oriental, from Tagoloan - because of the shortage of materials? Most of all, how would one re-negotiate the underestimated costs (miscalculated by CFC’s young SFC volunteer-architect) which were based on flat instead of sloping terrain, whereby the cost of establishing the tie-beams were eating a major portion of the total budget for each housing unit?
Would not TM and the CFC-GK Team remove all stops toward the completion of the project and protect CFC from a possible debacle? I say once more and for all: ALL of them in CFC, including TM, working on GK Capitol Village in Bukidnon were “WORKS-IN-PROGRESS” for which responsibility for success or failure was EVERYONE’s. Get a better perspective, Brother Anonymous. Thanks.
I’m sorry, I had to strike out your gossipy comment, Anonymous of October 17, 2009 2:36 AM. Please use dignified speech here and be prudent, from which context you may please restate your views. It is said in Prov 15:4: “A soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse one crushes the spirit.”
IN ADITION, BROTHER ANONYMOUS (PASENSIYA FOR THIS "NAG", M-CDO):
As the days closed in toward D-DAY for the construction of the Capitol Village:
1. TM contemplated bringing in additional GK workers and volunteers from Davao and Iligan (He asked PAD-AV of CDO/MisOr for volunteers but the latter simply said that the MisOr East Sector is already there - that PAD seemed "detached" or say, "uncooperative"? He was embarassed earlier when the German consultant of STEAG dismissed him - did not want to talk with him - for taking interest in the company's budget for GK within its influence area since he (the PAD) appeared only when news of the money came while the East Sector volunteers did all the laborious work to make the GK project a reality. Said consultant wanted to deal with the CFC East Sector only.)
2. The Davao and Iligan volunteers were not brought in although a certain volunteer (architect-engineer) from GK in Cagayan de Oro was there not really to co-manage the GK project on the ground but to help look for better alternatives for the doors due to time constraints - this volunteer "took the risk" of ordering the huge delivery of "plastic/synthetic doors", instead of having them fabricated from wood as planned, and based on exorbitantly higher costS. But it seemed that intervention and the costs were necessary.
3. TM and the team pulled all stops to costs in order to deliver on a promise, with CFC shouldering the balance from the original share of the LGU.
4. On D-DAY, some twenty of more than 100 houses houses constructed were still unfinished. The cost to build a unit increased to 75K instead of the the original target of 65K. The LGU decided to finish the remaining houses "by administration" but could not complet yet even at at DOUBLE the cost..
5. "Those whose feet do not touch the ground"...be careful. Baka lilindulin kayo or they will chip away your foundations.
IT WAS EVERYONE'S RISK IN SUCCESS OR FAILURE. IT WAS A GOOD, "BLOODY" FIGHT. GOD BLESS US ALL.
Sans nastiness about buying mineral water instead of drinking free from the local waterworks system given the then-polluted Sawaga River in Malaybalay City, CFC and GK might no be accused of 'wastefulness and extravagance' about the supply of drinking water. However, one may demand for a fair review of the arrangements made by the GK Cagayan de Oro-based architect-engineer on the apparently-extravagant and huge delivery of higher-priced synthetic doors in order to meet the completion date for the construction of the 100 plus housing units in GK Capitol Village.
I also suggest to the Anonymous brother, whose adulation of the Bukidnon Provincial Governor drew a harsh reproof from another Anynymous blogger here, that he may want to take responsibility for the excessive and indiscriminate cutting of lumber by carpenters from LGUs who rushed to complete their assigned units and virtually took over the lumber stockyard managed by CFC, even as their "municipal imprints" in the houses like the sarimanok-type roofs and verandas substantially increased material usage and the original costs.
Well, the non-completion of some 20 or so housing units may have happened so that the "humbug" LGU and that arrogant GK worker from Bukidnon will realize that the CFC-managed project was most cost-effective despite CFC's lack of experience and expertise then... Imagine the LGU concerned reportedly incurring twice the costs and still not completing its construction "by administration" of a typical GK house!
Brother Anonymous GK worker in Bukidnon who plays politics with the LGU in implementing GK there, are you afraid your scheming will soon be found out by your "amo Gobernador"?
BROTHER TOKTOK:
"...Cutting ties in writing is not a disrespectful and disobedient act. It is a gentlemanly decision that a person can do if remedies for unity are not being met..."
AGREE BROD. AND AS A SIGN OF RESPECT, CUT THEM OUT TOO AND THROW THEM AWAY, JUST LIKE WHAT THE OWNER OF THE VINEYARD DOES IN PRUNING HIS ORCHARD. ANYWAY DEL FIERRO ET AL DID NOT CONSIDER UNITY AT ALL AS THEIR ACT WAS CLEARLY UNILATERAL.
And about extravagance and excessiveness, I ALSO AGREE that it MAY be useful to look into the purchase of that excessively high-priced plastic or synthetic doors that was arranged by the volunteer GK worker from Cagayan de Oro City... although, considering the fact that overall, the per-unit cost could be acceptable, perhaps let the case be na lang...
Actually Klaro man ang bagong memo na nigawas karon from the CFC-IC nga we can still work sa GK kay mao man ni atong expression sato love with the poor pero not as a full time GK worker but as a ministry. Dili ba masabtan nga gilahi ra man ang governance sa CFC and Gk in order to focus jud sa ilang mga respective apostolate and evangelization nga gisugdan ni Hesus? It is so sad to nga gihusgahan ta tanan as blind followers sa uban kay nisunod ta sa atong gituuhan nga tinood. Thanks for posting my blog and God bless!
Anyway, what gives? Unta adunay ensakto nga pag-evaluate niani, for the sake of the beneficiaries and the future pa nga mahimo sa CFC.
Anyway, masuko man kaha sila nga mouban ang CFC sa GK site; so, K lang. Matud pa, walang aray.
By the way, naa kaha na sila pagkaulaw nga mogamit man sa mga methods sa CFC samtang dili na man sila CFC. Maulaw pud tingali silay, uy. Maayo unta kon ang ilang "Formation House" naa nay nahimo nga mga GK MODULES PARA GK LIFE o unsa kaha, kay wala na man sila katungod nga mogamit CLP MODULES ug uban pa nga TEACHINGS MODULES sa CFC. Kay para lang kana nga CLP and CFC Teaching Modules sa mga CFC who who follow CFC-IC in line with the Catholic Church and according to the Vatican-approved statutes.
Unsa kaha, no?
I agree jud adto bro/sis anonymous. Sorry for the expression noh? Mao ni ilang ginaingon nga walk your talk nga dili man gani nila puy-an ang GK para mahimo nila ilang ministry. Dayon sila pa tong gapanguna nguna ug voice out nga dili buhian ang GK? Am really sorry but we cannot claim GK kay God has other plans for them. If gusto sila magserve, wala man problema na muvolunteer sa GK kay ministry man gihapon nato na sa Ancop, ato ra problema ani run is dili ta kaserve kay wala man ta kabalo if Welcome ta sa ilang GK sites diri sa Mis Or. Unta naa tay clarification with regards to this, basin dili pud ta welcome diba? I hope Mr. MCDO would make a forum again regarding this. Salamat Kaayo ug God Bless sa tanan.
mao bitaw bro. nagtuo ko nga daghan man mga true blooded cfc members na ganahan sad gihapon mag serve sa gk. ang problema lang kay naay collaboration ang cfc ug gk didto sa manila, gali c tm, luis ug mari, member man tingale ghapon sa cfc ang ato mga taga gk dre nag severe man sa cfc. unsaon na lang na karon. alkansi tingale ang taga mis. or. kay ang gk leaders sa manila cfc members man tingale ghapon.
Tinuod, Bro. Sila TM true-blue miyembro pa gayud sa CFC, busa walay problema sa collaboration at the ground level, maskin magkalahi na sa governance or management level. Malipayon kaayo nga gapadayon ang CFC members sa pagpalambo sa ilang gisugdan nga GK, whether they are CFC doing GK work under ANGCOP, or whether they are just volunteering to collaborate on GK. Mao gani nga nagyuhum-yuhum kadtong Central Visayan CFC lider nga miingon -
'Naunsa na man mo diha sa Misamis Oriental, uy? Wala man jud unta problema ug di pa lang tungod sa mga liders ninyo nga dili magpapuli, labun wala man gani permanente sa atong pagka-lider, ug kinahanglan obedient kita! Sa among kabahin dinhi sa Visayas, nagapadayon man mi sa among trabaho sa GK isip usa ka extension o outreach sa ANCOP.'
Alkanse jud sila kay wala man sila musubay sa CFC, nga ang GK pud sa manila is respecting the decisions of our leaders sa CFC. Ang problema nila run nga ang tanang GK sites unta is also a place for our ancop, unta dili sila maging selfish sa atong pagtabang saton kabos nga mga igsoon diri sa misor.
may God be praised.
I know we are not here to please everybody pero dili man pud ta kaserve ug tarong kung atong igsoon naay mga hinanakit pud sa uban membro. Dili man ang ministry, Ang mga nag-implement man. Ako lang jud katingalahan is katong nagdecide sila ug severance sato area without consulting the body... Kita as members... Blind pud gani ta sa ila mga decisions, so mura diay ta hawak nila sato liog ani. Diba? Kinsa man diay sila to decide on our membership? Pero unta once mudecide sila, ila intawon icheck ilang covenant ug ilang calling, Kung GK jud sila, then serve there, meaning working 24/7 in the GK sites, not only 2 hours a week.
So Klaro ang katuyoan!
(Oh, and it was stated here that no GK leader in Manila severed ties from CFC; in fact, it was only you our leaders in Misamis Oriental who clung like lizards to your positions, CLAIMING FALSELY IN WRITING THAT THE WHOLE MEMBERSHIP WERE ONE WITH, AND JOINED YOU IN YOUR ACT SEVERING TIES FROM CFC-IC?)
Bro and Sis, please forgive me of what am i going to say...sakto tong giingon sa usa ka anonymous october 31 nga, dili na jud credible ang mga nanguna sa CFC GK, I know kinahanglan nato sila iforgive pero knowing that nga sila ang gauna una ug decide to severe CFC then gidamay tanan member, i think that's unfair, Huna-hunaon baya nato nga dili tanan CFC members gaserve sa GK, but we serve only through our financial and spiritual support. Ang ako nahibalan is we can serve sa CFC through our Families. I hope all of you can reflect on this. Anyway wala man pud giingon ang Pope nga mubalhin ta CFC-GK MIsor. Mao lang na Bros and sis'.
unsa ni nga memo? kindly clarify:
From: CFCFFL Home Office
Subject: CBCP recognition of CFC-FFL
To:
Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 2:20 PM
"The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), through its Episcopal Commission on the Laity (ECLA), has given formal and official recognition to Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFC-FFL) as a national private association of the lay faithful, effective October 15, 2009."
...and also this:
From: CFCFFL Home Office
Subject: Vatican appointment of Frank & Gerry Padilla
To:
Date: Wednesday, October 21, 2009, 2:41 PM
"His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, has re-appointed our Servant General Frank Padilla and his wife Gerry as members of the Pontifical Council for the Family, effective September 10, 2009, for another term of five years."
In my opinion…
RELAX, NOT TO WORRY, NOT EARTHSHAKING AT ALL
1. Well, as a lay organization, congratulations to FFL for getting acknowledged by the ECLA of CBCP as a NATIONAL association of lay faithful. Based on said report, the effort to spread around and make FFL's presence felt in most dioceses paid off, the same scheme used by Padilla towards the latter part of the 80’s and early 90's after he pirated CFC from LNP.
HOWEVER, the ECLA acknowledgment of FFL does not make the latter's use of the CFC acronym legal already because the same is sub-judice, that is, FFL's legal use of the "CFC" name is under review by the Philippine Court of Appeals. It is informed that the said Court will soon decide on the 'fictitious' documents used by the Padilla group to justify SEC's action to authorize FFL's use of the “long-dead” or defunct corporate name called Couples For Christ Foundation, Inc. (CFCFI).
2. Congratulations and similar felicitations are also in order for the Padilla couple because of Vatican’s renewal of their membership in the PCF. It will be noted that when they originally got it, they were our leaders of CFC. Maybe the renewal was applied or “documented” with the “CFC-FFL” name. Nevertheless, most members of CFC already know the dubious use of the “CFC” term by Padilla; thus, the same goes with the Padillas’ representation with the Vatican using the “CFC” acronym. On the other hand, it would have been most embarrassing if the Padilla couple’s membership was not renewed at all (!) after all their “laborious” efforts to covet it. Maulawan unya; so, OK na.
3. All this do not in any way make the FFL statutes duly-recognized by the Vatican. From the reports posted above, what the Vatican recognized were the persons of the Padilla couple and not the statutes of their so-called “CFC-FFL” lay organization. Only the statutes of the CFC that is headed by the International Council have the imprimatur of the Vatican.
GETS? WARMEST GREETINGS!
ows?! is that it? so CBCP or the Vatican are just "playing"?
In another sense, life is a game; depends on which gameplan you are anchored on...
Yes, life's a GAME, but it is US WHO MUST PLAY
Ohright… GAME KA NA BA?
Let’s play “SHUT-PUT” or “PUT UP OR SHUT UP”
1. A GK-del Fierro follower says gisuka na sa CFC ang GK unya bawion na pud through ANCOP. But an Anonymous blogger asks how come the main players of GK in Manila are still true-blue followers of CFC. The latter wants the GK-del Fierro follower to clarify this and also explain how come GK, through Mari, could not readily give an accounting of the houses that were intended to be built by the funds from ANCOP as desired by ANCOP-USA. Same query is followed up HERE.
GK-del Fierro follower: “SHUT-PUT?”
2. An anonymous blogger here says that the GK of del Fierro may not last long because it is only interested in building structures but not good relationships, of which JDF is in short supply. In contrast, the thread points to del Fierro fomenting disunity by encouraging “PAKALS’ or ostentatious meal preparations during household meetings – whereby a festive mood of having lavish meals like lechon create dissent among those who want to change their lives in another way and not through material display of food in household meetings as desired by JDF. You can find the posts HERE and HERE.For this, and such other manifestations suggesting distance, aloofness, and bourgeois attitude, the Anonymous blogger intones that GAWAD KALINGA (GK) a-la del Fierro may only be about structures without anchors in long-lasting Christian relationships.
Morag in-between ang dating and dili pud upbuilding, 'tho naay pagka-interesting.
is it true that cfc-ic would like to take back gk again? there's a memo signed by bro. joe tale..pls verify.
SOOO GOOD to learn 307 youth representatives from MisOr - second to Butuan City's 308 - have joined the RYC in Surigao this morning (Saturday, October 24), which augurs well for CFC-IC in Misamis Oriental (in sharp contrast to the 2009 Mindanao Leaders' Conference in Butuan City - nearer than Surigao City from Cagayan de Oro - during which not a single member from the Area Council nor a Sector Head under the leadership of JDF attended; sana makabawi na ang CFC Misamis Oriental during the 2010 Mindanao Leaders' Conference in General Santos.)
PRAISE GOD!
And PRAISE GOD, too, for the resolve that never again will a WINNING YFC TEAM FROM MISAMIS ORIENTAL RUE THE DAY IT TRIUMPHANTLY WINS A COMPETITION FOR A HIGHER CONTEST BECAUSE OF THE BURDEN OF SCROUNGING FOR THE NEEDED FUNDS. PRAISE GOD THAT THE CURRENT CFC LEADERSHIP OF THE AREA COUNCIL HAS RESOLVED TO HENCEFORTH SUPPORT FINANCIALLY THE WINNING YFC TEAMS. MOLIPAS NA KADTONG KARAANG PANAHON DIIN MAGBAKHO ANG MADAUGON NGA YFC TEAM SA MISAMIS ORIENTAL...
IN HIS TIME, ALL THINGS TURN OUT FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD!!!
ALSO, BLESS ALL OF THEM WHO RAISED THE FUNDS FOR THE OUTFIT OF THE YFC WHO WILL REPRESENT THE PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL IN THE CHEERDANCE COMPETITION OF THE RYC IN SURIGAO CITY.
GOD IS GUD!
"is it true that cfc-ic would like to take back gk again? there's a memo signed by bro. joe tale..pls verify."
NOT TRUE. GK has always been part of CFC; CK as an expression of love of GOD by CFC remains in the heart of every CFC. On April 30, the GOVERNANCE of GK by CFC was given up due to differences - ang tawhanon nga pagpatakbo had differences: for example, ang GK management mo-mando sa provinces without clearance from the CFC-IC, which constitued the GK Board; so, gihimong independent ang management of GK, but those in CFC who would work with GK could still do so, provided within the CFC structure.
So, on April 30, 2009, CFC gave up or let-go of GK governance; thereafter, it renamed its work with the poor as ANCOP to include community-building through GK.
Except for Misamis Oriental, where del Fierro separated from CFC, the rest of the GK activities in the Philippines are coordinated with CFC, so that there are GK communities that are managed by CFC under the ANCOP program.
CFC promulgated guidelines on ANCOP since the letting go but these were not passed down below by del Fierro as PAD, which is the reason why many are receiving the information like news, as if it is the first time they have learned about them.
ONCE MORE, CFC is not taking back anything relative to its work with the poor thorugh GK. CFC created GK; it gave up the "supinko", recalcitrant, or "big-headed" nga GK management while it has not given up on the poor and its work with the poor. Sori, medyo na-blunt. Wala man gud ko makita karon lain word to stress the point. Thanks.
GUSTO KO ANG "SHUT-PUT" GAME NI ANONYMOUS. HUWAG SANA TANGGALIN DAHIL MARAMI DIYAN GUSTONG MAGPALABAS NG KANILANG MGA HINAING UKOL DUON SA GINAWANG PAGSIRA NG KANILANG PAGKILALA SA CFC DAHIL SA KATAKSILAN NG MGA MEMBERS NG COUNCIL AT SECTOR LIDER - MANTAKIN MONG IDAMAY KAMI NA SABIHING NAKISALI KAMI SA KANILA SA PAG-HIMAGSIK LABAN SA CFC-IC AT SA PAGTAPON NG AMING COVENANT AS CFC, SAMANTALANG WALANG KALATUY-LATOY ANG KANILANG POSISYON BERSUS SA AMING PERSONAL NA PANGAKO SA HARAPAN NG PANGINOON AT SA PAGPATIBAY NAMING MAGKABIYAK SA PANGAKO NA 'YON SA PAMAMAGITAN NG PAGSIKAP NA MAGING TOTOO AT FAITHFUL HANGGANG SA MAKAYA. TAKSIL AY MAHINA NA SALITA PARA UPAKAN SILA... SORI, NASAKTAN LANG DI KASI AKO.
GK-del Fierro follower: “SHUT-PUT?”
After listening to the presentation of facts in an Assembly that was called for the purpose, the unit leaders and all their members below decided to rejoin the CFC-IC, leaving behind their chapter leader who was the only one sticking it out with the JDF group. This happend a few days ago. It is not 'solid' west anymore, especially if the members know of the truth and allowed to make their own decisions.
PRAISE GOD!
Yes, let's play "SHUT-PUT".
How come that during teaching nights in the time of JDF and "his" Council, so much time was spent to highlight financial reports and applaud those groups giving bigger amounts instead of those with higher percentages of givers? Didn't such practice tend to glorify man more than God?
How come that on said teaching nights, DP (council member) highlighted so-called "SAVINGS", and yet JDF and the Council could be stingy in subsidizing the social ministries like the YFC's representation of the provincial CFC in regional or national competitions? Didn't the Lord regularly replenish CFC's monthly expenses? So, why save and be stingy on legitimate and reasonable expenses?
In contrast, is it true that del Fierro, as PAD then, encouraged wolfing down on good, expensively and lavishly-prepared food during HH meetings? Why such ill-directed extravagance?
GK-del Fierro follower: “SHUT-PUT?”
In today's Gospel, Luke 13:10-17, ANG BABAING KUBA for 18 years, bound as such by Satan, is let loose by Jesus on a Sabbath, which is loathed by the hypocritical Pharisees.
PRAYER:
May the crooked lines connecting CFC followers who have signed as such before the Almighty God be straightened, and may their leaders of whatever persuasion lead them along the same authentic road toward God's healing Word.
May they be loosened from the maze of Satan's crooked ropes and henceforth tightly cling to the lifeline that leads STRAIGHT to Jesus, the only Refuge and Salvation.
And may all the hypocrites and arrogant among them repent and secure God's pardon or be damned to hell!
AMEN.
PEACE, BROTHERS AND SISTERS.
Dula pud ko "SHUT-PUT".
“…our leaders and members of CFC Misamis Oriental have decided to sever our ties with the International Council effective immediately.” – by Bro. Jun del Fierro together with the CFC Council and Sector Leaders, July 30, 2009
I think I committed to join CFC with my wife earlier than Bro. Jun JDF, but I deferred to and followed him then as our CFC Provincial Area Director.
HOWEVER, AS CFC MEMBER, I DID NOT GIVE HIM OR ANYONE OF THEM IN THE COUNCIL OR ANY SECTOR LEADER, ANY AUTHORITY WHATSOEVER TO DECIDE FOR ME OR MY WIFE TO SEVER MY AND/OR MY WIFE'S TIES WITH CFC-IC.
FOR THIS REASON, I WANT TO CALL ALL OF THEM IN THE DEFUNCT CFC COUNCIL OF DEL FIERRO AS WELL AS THEIR SUPPORTING CAST OF SECTOR LEADERS, ALL OF THEM WHO CO-SIGNED HIS LETTER OF DEFECTION DATED JULY 30, 2009, EXCEPT BROTHER JUN FABELA WHO PUBLIC RETRACTED, AS LIARS!.
LIARS! LIARS! LIARS!
GK-del Fierro follower: “SHUT-PUT?”
ang yfc mis. or delegation before cla nilarga for surigao nagtapok sa kit kai. 12 midnight cla nihawa but before ana our pad (jun waga & council members) niadto sa kitkai ug ilang gpray over ang delegation ug gipadalhan nila ug snacks. just like a true father sa mga yfc ang bag-o nga pad ug council members. sa una kaha? ingon sad ani? just asking...
On the way back, they looked for shrims and crabs. unta gi-prioritize ang espirituhanon nga kalan-on gikan sa human bonding among co-workers didto sa GK site, ayha na pud ma-atiman ang other human concerns.
CFC Misamis Oriental, now back on track. PRAISE GOD for the humility of our leaders!
PRAISE GOD! FINALLY, AN MCGG IN ADDITION TO THE USUAL MCTN
After a long time, the CFC elders finally held the monthly Group Gathering (MCGG)at the Patrick Cronin Hall, Cathedral grounds yesterday, October 25, 2009. A time set aside for CFC elders to inspire each other through sharing of God's goodness in their lives of service, that MC "Group Gathering" had these highlights:
1. FULL-WORSHIP
2. WITNESSING about God's goodness, His miracles and interventions in the lives of the CFC members (given by the "sharers")
3. "DISCERNMENT" by a leader, about God's message in the songs sung the "sharings" given and the prayers and exhortations that were spoken.
4. ANNOUNCEMENTS on major activities for the incoming weeks, and
5. CLOSING PRAYER, AND RECESSIONAL.
The New Area Council has made it known that leaders of CFC have a separate day to SHARE their lives, to INSPIRE EACH OTHER AS LEADERS. This happens during the MCGG, which is different from MCTN, a separate session for TEACHING. (This is so different from the old practice under the defunct Council of JDF when teaching and sharing were lumpted together during the monthly MCTN...)
In the MCGG, there is no such thing as "PAD's TIME"; instead, it is EVERYBODY'S TIME to share or be inspired with "sharings" of God's goodness...
While waiting for the start of the activities, those who came early, especially those coming from afar, could partake of free coffee, suman and biscuits in an aircon venue (what is a few pesos worth of cool place and snacks for brothers and sisters who give more in terms of tithes, anyway...)
Thank you, Lord God, that our elders in the Mission Core will now gather twice to collectively honor and praise You every month, and to become an inspiration to each other for Your greater glory and honor: during the Teaching Night (MCTN) and during the Group Gathering (MCGG).
God bless bro
Praise and thank You!!!
pahabol...
kadto bitaw brader nga nanambok uban-uban sa pari, ako ma-recall iyang giingon nga dihang wala na sila kuwarta para palit sud-an, ilang gipabukalan talbos sa kamote, unya miingon iyang gamay nga anak nga babaye: "dili man matulon, papa."
LORD, SALAMAT SA MGA IGSOON GIHIMO NIMO NGA INSTRUMENTO ARON PAGPAHUGOT SA AMONG PAGTOO KANIMO UG SA AMONG PAGPANINGKAMOT NGA MAHIMONG ANGAYAN NGA MGA LIDER NIMO SA CFC-IC.
Some thoughts
QUOTED FROM CFC-USA
In an effort to access some articles about CFC's work with the clergy from the CFC official website (which was temporarily unavailable), I came across this article, "WHEN GOD WEEDS" written by KC Cordero, SFC-USA.
While the whole article is accessible (HERE AGAIN), I wish to quote the portion that I feel is very relevant to the past discussions here about the stand of some SFC members relative to the severance of ties from CFC by the top leaders of Misamis Oriental.
Here's some thoughts from KC Cordero:
"I was spending a beautiful Minnesota afternoon outside contemplating, when it dawned on me that the daunting task of weeding is actually very spiritual.
Please don’t misunderstand me, I hate to weed. But I hate to see weeds even more. They really, really bother me. In fact, you could consider me somewhat of a weed connoisseur. I know what belongs, and what doesn't, in a garden. And so it is with God and our lives.
However you define the Divine, there is something to be said for the placement of “objects” in our lives, people, places, circumstances, which come to define who we are. Likewise, it is the removal of certain people, places and circumstances from our lives that can be compared to God doing a little necessary “weeding”. Not everything belongs. Not everything is good for us. In fact some things, and some people, can be detrimental to our “growth”. We may not see it at the time, but God sees it. After all, God knows what belongs in the garden of our lives and what doesn't. As mortals, often selfish and self-centered mortals, we sometimes confuse weeds for things of beauty, even for rose bushes with their appealing blooms and sweet smell. We pay no mind to the thorns because we think, or we train ourselves to think, that the thorns are just part of the pretty plant that has come to inhabit the garden of our heart. But God recognizes the thorns for what they really are. God knows the true nature of the false plant that we have come to accept"
Indeed, by the recent events in CFC-Misamis Oriental, we can clearly see God doing some weeding... Thank you, Lord, for having Your words written through Sis KC Cordero, CFC-USA.
husto btaw ka igsoon, walay labot ang mga bata. pasagdan lang cla where sila gusto. sa part sa cfc no problem ana but i dont know sa gk part kon ok cla na ang ilang mga coor sa yfc motampo sa cfc activities. igsoon nag activity baya sila dungan sa ryc sa corpus nila gheld. wa lang ko kahibawo how true. mao sad gihapon, gdungan nila ang pkv ug ang anniversary. hahay next year basi makigdungan na sad sila sa INTERNATIONAL KIDS VILLAGE SA SINGAPORE. luoy sad

HOW TRUE, INDEED. But it seems that as Christians, we are taught in CLP Talk # 3 that we are all brothers and sisters under the God who is our Father, and because of this, we have to be peaceful because God knows what is best for us!
Well, if we are parted for a reason, that can be the Father's WILL. And so, this also calls us to be peaceful if the Father wills that some of the people we were with in our earlier lives as CFC may not anymore be in the garden of our lives. Kahilakon man ta ani, sis, uy, pero unsaon kay ang initiative to leave ni-gikan man kanila. So, ana-a usab kanila ang INITIATIVE sa pagbalik ug nga kita isab open-minded alang niana nga posibilidad. GOD BLESS.
Brod, about the shares in the MCGG last Sunday, there were two other shares:
1. A leader from El Salvador, Misamis Oriental who says that he is one of two leaders who signed up for the CFC-IC while the rest of the brethren there has followed the "GK" way of del Fierro. He says that despite the fact that he feels so orphaned when in El Salvador, he will continue to fight the good fight of faith for CFC-IC!
2. And last but not the least is that
cluster leader in Sector A (west of Cagayan de Oro) who almost got lynched by a drunk mob for bumping off a woman while driving to Gingoog City. As the woman lay uncnscious on the ground after hitting the cement, the family that was already drunk from celebrating the wedding that was to take place that day came, threatening to kill the brother with clubs and sticks and bolos. He prayed fervently and offered his situation to God, as it was clearly the woman's fault for carelessly crossing the highway and not mindful of the incoming car that was honking its horn. The Brod-leader prayed that the mob would give him the chance to explain and bring the victim to the nearest hospital.
The nearest of kin of the victim broke the glass and pulled out the brother-CFC leader while the rest of the relatives were loading the bloodied victim on a 'habal-bahal'. Our brod-leader pleaded that he would be the one to bring the hapless victim to the hospital which was not heeded by the angry mob.
The mob was on the verge of lynching and tearing our Brod-leader apart to death when, as if from nowhere, someone with a long firearm came signaling the mob to release our Brod-leader and turn him over, introducing himself as a policeman.
The lawman then instructed the Brod-leader to bring the victim to the hospital on his battered car, saying: "I was taking that bus on the opposite direction when I saw the mob about to lynch you, brother. I do not know what prodded me, but I felt I was pushed to come to your aid. That is why I am here. You will not be touched by these people and you shall bring the victim to the hospital."
The Brod-leader introduced himself as CFC member. To his surprise, the husband of the still-motionless woman also said he was a CFC member in Gingoog area, although it was clear that his 'vengeful" action that morning was under the influence of liquor.
Praying fervently that the victim would live, the Brod-leader rushed to the nearest hospital to have her checked-up. Praise God that when they arrived at the emergency room, the victim started to move. Much more, it was diagnosed that no serious brain damange came with her being bumped off. PRAISE GOD!
And what beautiful learnings, indeed, were shared by our Brod-leader such as:
- that we are all a blesing to each other (the policeman was an ordinary lawman that God chose to become the guardian angel of our Brod-leader that day);
- that our fervent prayer works; therefore the need for everyone to be constantly prayerful
- that we have to be forgiving (the Brod-leader has given up everything to the Lord and has forgiven the ruthless mob)
GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!
aw oo. mao diay kadto sila si bro. awil villamala nga cluster head sa Sector a ug si bro. jinky abasola, kfc coordinator sa west sector (el salvador).
bitaw bro. grabe ka inspiring ang mga sharings. maaghat sad ta ug share. hehe baga ko ug face. btaw mga igsoon, i am looking forward na sad sa atong mcgg kay maka inspired man gud ug au. for how many years man gud wala tay mcgg nga sama ato. how bless we are now. thank you Lord

"By the way, naa kaha na sila pagkaulaw nga mogamit man sa mga methods sa CFC samtang dili na man sila CFC. Maulaw pud tingali silay, uy.
Wala ba diay sila naghimo sa ilang "STYLE" of teaching and "'GK-LIFE' Formation" sumala sa gipangako ni JDF during independence day nila on August 2? Unsa diay? Gadepende diay gihapon sila sa CFC-IC, samantalang ila na man kadtong gitasak-tasak ug gilabay?
Di na lang ta mag-legalistic, kaha. OK.

Tito & Tita,
I just want to share LUIS O. Message nga ge send ni Anthony Delfiero Sa SFC YAHOO GROUP MISOR.
AS I heard mao ni ila basis to call themselves CFC ORIGINAL sa ilang assembly last October 17 sa CORPUS.
He Macoy, Ate Jiji, Ate Marla and Anthony;
FROM : LUIS O.From: jose luis oquinena jloquinena@gmail.com
It is important that we follow what is TRUTH in our hearts :
1. KNOW by HEART the paper "Building Mighty Currents of Hope." This will be our guide, not as a reaction to the memo of the CFC IC but as a matter of principle based on the vision of GK. This paper has been our guide right after 30 APR 2009.
WE WILL LEAVE NO GK COMMUNITY BEHIND AND BUILD THE GK ORGANIZATION ACCOUNTABLE TO GKCDFI.
2. The CFC IC let go of GK as a ministry, and also let go of governance. CFC IC has no personality for GK and does not represent GK. Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc (GKCDFI) is the moral, legal and symbolic steward of GK. WE WILL FULFILL THIS MANDATE ACCORDING TO HOW GKCDFI SEES GK WITH GOD'S GUIDANCE AND THE HEROISM OF GK VOLUNTEERS.
3. Being a GK worker, at the same time, CFC member is to me a great responsibility more than a privilege. I will follow what is TRUTH in my heart. I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SPLIT GK. I WILL SERVE AND LOVE THE POOR THE GK WAY WITH GKCDFI.

Oh, thanks for the insight provided in the latest "Shut-Put" game about the "teaching modules" from GK-Del Fierro group.
Kay unya we can also mobilize academic research endeavors or in-depth studies on the theoretical underpinnings of GK del Fiero Group's "rebellion" in the context of megalomania.
Certainly, the sooner that the GK-JDF's teaching modules are formalized, the earlier we can remove or confirm some doubts about the "idiocy" or "righteousness" of the cause of the JDF Group in severing ties with the CFC-IC.
Ako kadto, Steadfast, about the in-depth study on megalomania...
Kung maghimo ug Vision 20-20 para GK, kanang klaro - naa ba diay financial "functions" sa usa ka endeavor like GK some 10 years from now,nga isagul-sagol sa mga major thrusts and "projects"? Paminaw, maskin walay major project magpabilin ang financial function...so, careful.
Morag dili man siya angayan mag-adbays.
May my ideas be worth reading; if not, then please Lord, don't lead the reader to temptation, but let him/her pray that the Holy Spirit come in to ask that I be forgiven and that he/she may have peace of mind...
To KC Cordero..
You missed LOVING THY NEIGHBOR which doesn't mean your beautiful neigbors only without THORNS. GOD said love your ENEMY..much more the people whom you think are weeds to your eyes! Hence, the act of LOVING and UNDERSTANDING are values that we are to practice for you can not love without humility. We cannot be selective in choosing whom to love. It is not for us to judge others because we are God's creation with different traits and outlooks. God allows the wheat and the weeds grow together until harvest time in which He separate the weeds from the wheat. He alone can do that. We all are unique. What God wants us to do is to Understand each other so that Love will eventually grow in our hearts towards one another even in the mids of thorny flower gardens. Please contemplate! God bless you all!
A. WRONG, Luis O:
"I WILL SERVE AND LOVE THE POOR THE GK WAY WITH GKCDFI." (???)
THIS ONE IS CORRECT:
I MUST SERVE AND LOVE GOD FIRST AND GOD'S LOVE IS SO OVERPOWERING THAT I SHARE AND LIVE IT WITH THE POOR THROUGH GK.
B. The "GK way" should bring Jesus to the resource-poor, but you may have "lost your mittens" because your "mantra" about the poor tends toward "poor worship". Yes, we Christians must love our neighbor, especially the poor among us; yet, I find it really "iffy" that your "GK way to God" is made concrete in nation-building and heroism, which are ends in themselves, and can be pursued apart from God. Likewise, I believe you have converted "GK" as some kind of "fetish" or idol. and I am afraid this idolatry will continue to prevent you from looking at the whole work with the poor the "CFC-IC way".
C. On a lighter note, kaayuha na man bala Toto Luis ang imo Ingles, or be simply clear and direct to the point, kay daw tiko-tiko kag mag-tiku-tiku man ang gasunod sa imo, eh.
C.1 "WE WILL LEAVE NO GK COMMUNITY BEHIND AND BUILD THE GK ORGANIZATION ACCOUNTABLE TO GKCDFI" (So? Eh, ti ano? There is nothing profound here; seems to me walang special message naman talage sa statement na to.)
C.2 "The CFC IC let go of GK as a ministry, and also let go of governance. CFC IC has no personality for GK and does not represent GK. Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, Inc (GKCDFI) is the moral, legal and symbolic steward of GK. WE WILL FULFILL THIS MANDATE ACCORDING TO HOW GKCDFI SEES GK WITH GOD'S GUIDANCE AND THE HEROISM OF GK VOLUNTEERS."
(Hey, this seems to be a dangerous statement, in the sense that it makes a mountain out of a molehill, making issue with virtually nothing. Why? If GKCDFI symbolizes GK morally and legally, it becomes gobbledygook and well, stupid (sorry) to interpret that statement as a MANDATE. Should you insist, then shall we state: GKCDFI is mandated to symbolize GK? Ano yun? Ano to, haw?
C.3 Your subsequent statement: "...ACCORDING TO HOW GKCDFI SEES GK WITH GOD'S GUIDANCE AND THE HEROISM OF GK VOLUNTEERS"... Taken in the context as stated in C.2, this is another dangerous or twisted thinking. With the so-called MANDATE being not there at all - except to state it as a symbol - to insist that the entity called GKCFI "sees GK with God's guidance and the heroism of GK volunteers" is delusive and illogical.
Ano ba talaga, Kuya Loi, daw makalolooy ang imo statement, haw: GKCDFI symbolizes GK, and sees GK with God's guidance and the heroism of GK volunteers. Sabi ko na nga ba nagiging "fetish" and GK.
May I suggest some straight thinking like: "GKCDFI is guided by Almighty God, whose love is manifested through 'GK apostolate' that may be expressed in volunteerism, heroism, etc. etc."
I am now seeing more clearly why you in GK management or governance of GK, i.e., in GKCDFI, were let go by CFC-IC... "some learning may be a dangerous thing..." indeed.
You do have a point, Anonymous of October 29, 2009 12:38 AM in your response to the quoted article of KC Cordero. I must say those points are so well-taken.
On the other hand, I think KC does not suggest that we judge any person as a "weed". As I see it, she simply says that there are weeds in the garden of our lives and God, the weeder, removes them four our sakes, and as He sees fit.
Thanks.
MC - Mission Core
MCTN - Mission Core Teaching Night
MCG- Mission Core Gathering
Core = Group
Am i correct? Please MCDO clarify kay ikaw man jud kina dak-an sa mga lider dinhi NEM. Bye God bless>
I volunteer to explain:
"CORE = GROUP"?
NO!
CORE = CORE or HEART or CENTRUM AS IN CORE OR HEART OF THE MISSION (like the "mision core" of CFC are leaders from Chapter Heads or their equivalents and up)
GROUP = GROUP, GRUPO, ENTITY
MCGG = MISSION CORE GROUP GATHERING (or gathering of the group members of the heart of the mission - of CFC), may also be shortened to
MCG = MISSION CORE GATHERING, which is self-explanatory
He he he..si MCDO ang iya gipangutana..ikaw voluntaryo..tan-awa wikepedia..MC naman tawag nato sa ECG kaniadto nga redundant..kay ang core is small group of entity..although all cfc members are missionary the elders are the Mission Core...
"I Volunteer" says:
Aw, mao diay! Kaniadto, and ikaduha nga gathering sa "core" of elders within a month gatawagon nga ECGG (Elders' Core Group Gathering).
[Let me however suggest that the case of "evolving" a linguistic term like "core" to mean "group" is not that simple, because in most anything, there is value in sticking to truthfulness or authenticity. We may not accept a term or attribute of a reality just because a particular community within a larger one says so; I mean, the claim must be authentic, too. Culture has a peculiar way of tolerating deviant behavior and of establishing normative practices like having common, acceptable terms.
Along this line, defining "core" as "group" is etymologically wrong, because the root word is "cor", meaning heart, which NEVER means "group" but means "CENTER", "FOUNDATION", or "HEART".
By the way, Brod, the CFC Wikepedia changes too. I recall during the height of the split, both CFC and FFL had eagle-eyed Wikepedia "police" from the internet-savvy members, watching for irregular changes in the basic info on CFC.
So, "CORE" never means "GROUP" etymologically speaking, although you can refer to a particular group as the core or heart of an organization.
But if you say nga dili na ta mogamit ug acronym nga MCGG pero MCG na lang, ok pud.]
Tnx, ha? God Bless.
BRO. LUIS O., YOU SAY:
"3. Being a GK worker, at the same time, CFC member is to me a great responsibility more than a privilege. I will follow what is TRUTH in my heart. I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYONE TO SPLIT GK. I WILL SERVE AND LOVE THE POOR THE GK WAY WITH GKCDFI."
As I see it, serving "THE GK WAY WITH GKCDFI..." means moving OUTWARD in "heroism" for the poor and with passion for "nation-building", all because of the INWARD, TRANSFORMING LOVE OF GOD AND NEIGHBOR INCULCATED IN THE RENEWED MAN "THE CFC WAY". This is THE TRUTH, di ba? Indeed, Luis O. you have a great responsibility as CFC; yet, you may also consider this as a great privilege.
SO IF YOU WERE AN AUTHENTIC CFC, HOW COULD YOU "MISGOVERN" GK VIS-A-VIS ITS BOARD UNDER THE CFC-IC? (Oh, sori, this is already passé; need to close the "box".)
IN THIS CONNECTION, I WILL RATHER PROUDLY WEAR THE CFC ID instead of having to strut afound with the secular GKCDFI ID around my neck.
No offense meant, Brow. Peace.
Kang Luis O: "...Being a GK worker, at the same time, CFC member is to me a great responsibility more than a privilege"
PANGUTANA: unsa may anaa nianang grupo diri sa mis-or, gatawgon gk jdf grup, nga dili na man mga miyembro sa cfc? naa ba responsibility or privilege?
ATEMP TUBAG: Mebee great au ila privilege to b irresponsible. mao ra.
Linguistics and "ITLOG"
sa northluzon, naay kuno tulay spanning the last kapampangan town to the adjacent border town in pangasinan whereby: at one end of the bridge the term for the table egg is "ITLOG" which becomes or is called "EBON" (translation in Filipino: "bird") at the other end.
anonymous here says that "..."evolving" a linguistic term...is not that simple, because in most anything, there is value in sticking to truthfulness or authenticity...". In the case above, may the interchangeable use of "ITLOG" and "EBON" have became "culturally" acceptable because "EBON" (bird) and "ITLOG" (egg) refer to the same authentic EGG?
On the other hand, in referring to "CORE" to mean "GROUP" in CFC, there is still a confusion as to whether each term refers to one authentic core or group. It is not that simple, indeed.
So, I suggest we all go back to the original words. "Core group" is a very valid English phrase, just as MCGG is a very valid acronym. Well,...
there are times when we have to be tolerant...MCGG or MCG, k lang. The world will not end tomorrow just because we insist on using one over the other. suggest case is closed. bye
Hi, Brow.
Bahin sa KAULAW, NGA MAULAW UNTA JDF GROUP.
Ang shame or "kaulaw" is a form of behavioral control, to keep "societal mental health" intact. Kaniadtong Aug. 2, gibalewala JDF and complen sa HOLD nga nagdonet sila pintal, matud JDF dugay na man kadto! JOKE ONLY.
Maayo galing nang hunahunaa bro! Unsa man ato sugdan?..Galing basin labayan ta tae..kita nya maulawan..he he he he..pailub lang ta..Bahala na Manila ana..naa bitaw daghan abogado CFC..Bro. Joe Tale abogado man pod na..Padayon lang ta ato trabaho bro...God bless you all!
Lamat ans, Brod.
Of course naa atong mga concerns nga reasonable man pud as ordinary persons - like the vehicle registration documents on the Corpus Christi vehicle that was announced publicly as being purchased by CFC then - concrete transactions nga dili lang gayud puede silhigon ug taguan ilalum sa banig or carpet - swept under the rug, matud pa, to the effect nga pasagdan na lang JDF kung unsa iyang gusto buhaton kay siya pa man ang PAD ug iya man kadto sa eskwelahan niya ang tag-iya sa sakyanan, ug iya pa gayud donated and yuta.
So it takes our hearts as Christians to forgive and pray that we persevere and survive the negative attacks of the evil one through the JDF Group's misplaced ownership of the CFC facilities in Pasil, Kauswagan. LORD THAT YOU ABIDE IN US AND THAT WE CONTINUE TO PRAISE YOU WITH OUR FORGIVING AND PEACEFUL HEARTS.
FINAL WRAP-UP: A REAL BEGINNING (SO TO SPEAK)
Now begins the rebirth.
ALL COUNCIL MEMBERS OF COUPLES FOR CHRIST in MIndanao are gathering in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon this coming week-end, for a Holy Retreat with His Excellency Monsignor Honesto Pacana, SJ, DD. The Monsignor is the Spiritual Director of CFC-Mindanao.
For CFC in Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro City, this Holy Retreat signals an affirmation of the the rebirth and restoration of the CFC Community. Tbe New Provincial Area Council under Bro. Jun Waga now reconnects in body and spirit with the mainstream CFC leaders in Mindanao who have always been faithful to the Global CFC under the International Council. Thus, the process of restoration that began with the institution of the new Area Council can proceed with greater commitment and full of God's grace and inspiration.
May the Lord Almighty endlessly bless CFC in Mindanao, strengthen and inspire the CFC leaders throughout the Philippines and the whole world, toward greater zeal for living and spreading the Gospel truths, the truth and joy of Jesus and the promise of His Redemption.
Praise God! Amen.! Allelluia!
Kabalo man kaba? maura!
K na lang pud kining imong wrap-up kay nag-nagmove kanako sa pag-ampo nga ang akong comment aning imo post will be such that it will lead to my judgment of you that is pleasing to God. So I do not want to judge you, but I lift to God your concerns, your peace and quiet, and that whatever it is you do will lead you to holiness and love of fellowman. Tabang lang pud ko wrap-up. Tnx.
Bitaw, lain man paminawon ang dunay kayugot ug halos "holier than thou" nga attitude. Iba ang dating. Make it loving, Brod.
First, Brother Joey replaced Brother TM. Reklamao council and involved the sector leaders. Texted JT about the perceived "lack of consultation" on the decision to change TM (on what ground? di ba wala sila labot ani? wat about the sector leaders? unsa ila labot pud? labit-labit sila?)
2nd, naay pangutana about hopes and dreams under the new leadership of Brother Joey (as part of survey). Ingon council and JDF, no problem if they will be replaced, kay come and go man sila. Same pangutana was brought before the cluster leaders, wala cooperation JDF.
3rd, pangutana mga sector leaders ilang hopes and dreams if they were to sit in Council; they wrongly made sumbong kang JDF that the council would definitely be changed because they were offered the position to sit in it! (This included the reported opinion sought from JDF's son-in-law when asked of similar scenario - ruffling and rattling JDF who could have decided to cling on to being Council with his incumbent members come what may, instead of peacefully letting go if need be, as he intimated earlier)
4th, council gets frantic report from Bukidnon that the council thereat was replaced; interprets same act as part of the agenda to replace them, too, and eggs on the sector leaders to sign severance letter with them.
5th, MisOR council expects CFC-IC to cave in to the bluff using the severance letter but instead gets axed as CFC leaders together with the signatory-sector heads (pride and arrogance reared an ugly head which was swiftly slain).
6th, Rebels try to make do with their misadventure by telling sympathizers of how bad the CFC leadership has been in not listening to them; cover up act by not showing their severance letter and declaration of independence, but enumerates their complaints to get sympathy.
7th, CFC mainstream under the IC recovers from sudden downfall when the rebel-council and sector leaders severed ties. Truth begins to set in, freeing CFC Misamis Oriental from the dark agenda of those opposed to CFC-IC and its decisions, those dark forces who took a free train ride on the misadventure of the defunct CFC MisOr council and sector leaders; dark forces who want to convert the simple act of disobedience to other levels of arguments suiting their own selfish ends.
We are now free to let go of those who defied the CFC-IC. May the Lord Bless you, brothers and sisters concerned, and forgive you for whatever sins attributable to your causing undue harm on God's organization - the Couples for Christ under the International Council. May we all bless each other as we go on to conquer the world for Jesus Christ.
Bye, bye.
In my heart I can now forgive and "forget what lies behind". In know that in the end, there will be justice and restitution. For now, I just keep my eyes on our Lord Jesus to run the race straight ahead, and win. Thank you, Lord, that there is no more rancor in my heart about the past events. May my closest of friends who are now on the other side go forward in Christ, straining to carry their croses and follow...AMEN.
2 November 2009
To my dear GK co-servants,`
Many have expressed confusion, disappointment, and frustration about the recent memos and changes with GK, ANCOP and CFC.
As someone who has been a longtime and faithful CFC member and as someone who has worked with many of you in Gawad Kalinga and planted many seeds through my service in GK ANCOP USA, I would like to share with you my reflections, in the hopes that like me, title or no title, official or unofficial, CFC or non-CFC, you will continue with even greater passion with your service in and advocacy of Gawad Kalinga.
Now, more than ever, we are called to live up to our battlecry, "Walang iwanan!"
GK’s Growing Pains and CFC’s Formation as a Community
Having the privilege of currently being in the CFC household of Melo and Nini Villaroman, being in the core team of GKonomics working closely with Tony Meloto, and talking with some of the key leaders, I know that both CFC and GK are driven by deep faith and passion, and both are driven by the same Spirit.
There may be leadership differences at this time that may seem irreconcilable, but I firmly believe that in time, we will understand God's perfect plan for both GK and CFC. In the meantime, I take comfort in my belief that these are all part of GK's growing pains and CFC's formation as a community. As St. Paul explained, there are many gifts but the same Spirit, and no one can say that one's gift is better than the other.
I must admit that I cannot profess to understand the current situation nor do I see the wisdom in some of the actions of some of our CFC and GK leaders at this time, but I do know one thing which is what keeps me committed to Gawad Kalinga as a CFC member: Despite all its weaknesses and shortcomings, GK is building God's Kingdom on earth, That is the bottomline.
Despite CFC's letting go of GK governance, GK's work has always been consistent with CFC's vision of families in the Holy Spirit renewing the face of the earth. Despite the failures of leaders and workers, GK is doing good work. Despite very limited resources and manpower, GK is transforming hearts and communities. Despite countless obstacles and naysayers, GK is giving hope to our countrymen and the rest of the world. Despite centuries-old debilitating mindsets, GK is allowing our young people to dream of a better future. Despite endless criticisms, GK is bringing God's love to so many.
GK IS GOD'S WORK and as such, He will sustain the work. We are His mere instruments and we, leaders and workers alike, will come and go. The current GK-CFC-ANCOP transition crisis will someday come to pass. For as long as there are people in GK who are focused on the Lord, the work will continue no matter what. Since I personally know many such GK people (both CFC and non-CFC), I am quite confident that the work will continue beyond my lifetime.
Continuing Support for GK
Our current GK leaders, who have been criticized and deemed unworthy by some, are the ones whom God has placed in charge at this time. They may have their own failures and shortcomings (who doesn't), but I have no doubt about their integrity and their love for God.
Whatever weaknesses they may have (just like everyone else), we trust that the Lord will continue to mold and equip them and that He is building up new leaders to help and take the place of our current leaders in His perfect time. In the meantime, we will do what we can to help them in the mission. We will all work together and focus on the task at hand.
Nobody is blameless in the current situation but I would rather focus on what needs to be done than point fingers. I would rather work on what I could contribute instead of focusing on the weaknesses of GK and CFC and faults of the leaders. I will not choose between CFC and GK because both are equally important to me. The challenge for us now is to “walk our talk” as Christian brothers and sisters, and truly internalize what "Walang Iwanan!" means.
As for ANCOP USA, it is no longer the ANCOP I used to know, but I wish them well in their new undertaking. The current transition will have its casualties but I hope and pray that many of us will see beyond the initial disappointments and instead, (1) keep our focus on the mission and vision of GK which have not changed, and (2) for those of us in CFC, remain faithful to our CFC covenant. For me, I will continue to attend my CFC household. I will continue to do my GK service. I will do both with great passion, much joy and peace, knowing that both are the Lord's handiwork and blessing.
Bottomline: Sharing God’s Love
Let me end by sharing with you about one of my idols, Ate Jenny Ronquillo, a fellow CFC and GK servant who was just called by the Lord last month after a 3-month bout with cancer which spread so fast. Jenny and her husband Eddie are CFC members in Las Pinas and in the last 4 years, they have been serving as the GK caretakers in GK Sunshineville. Jenny in particular managed the livelihood program of the village, making picture frames and later, the famous silver bags and home accessories. Jenny went to the site almost daily, worked closely with the GK residents (whom she called her “Angels”), trained and guided them, and in the process, she managed to help provide livelihood and income to more than 50 families, helping them send their children to school, pay for their electric and water bills, and put food on their table. She did all these quietly, without any compensation, recognition, nor fanfare.
Beyond the income and livelihood, Jenny provided something even greater to the residents – God’s love – when she became their friend, sister, and mentor. In her deathbed, her GK Sunshineville Angels wept and prayed with her family. For those of us who saw her in action (the many GK Sunshineville partners and volunteers which include GKonomics, Maraming Bayani Foundation, young managers from HSBC, Alaska, SGV, Shell, Bates, Aboitiz, etc.), Ate Jenny showed us what it means to simply love like Jesus.
Ate Jenny’s death just reminds me of just how blessed we are to have GK as our way of living out our faith and sharing God’s love with as many people as possible. Walang iwanan!
In the end, this is all that matters, how we have shared God’s love with others.
Godbless!
- Rose
Walk your talk, i firmly agree with that. Pero Marami atang hindi nakakaintindi nun. Kase nakikita ko talaga kung sino yung nasa GK at nagtatrabaho for the Kingdom of God. Kaso Madami din ang mga GK kuno, which they believe that tithes are enough for them to serve God's Kingdom, sana naman mag-exert more effort to meet God's people in GK Villages para naman makilala niyo kung sino talaga sila. Ako GK ako and Nakikita ko sa GKmisor, some of the leaders and councils don't even care. Saan na yung walk your talk nila?
I think that work with the poor through GK has various shapes and forms as much as there are various levels of personal conversion toward the reality of Jesus Christ.
I wish I can agree with you 100&, Sis Rose, but then I am still bent on clinging to my belief that the issue on GK being "let go" by CFC is not to be responded with the belief in "walang iwanan". Quite debatable, but it can be ironical that before we may even think of saving others, we must make sure that we are "fully covered" in salvation ourselves.
May I venture this? In one of the parables, some of the young women who waited on the bridegroom for the feasting did not have enough oil for their lamps and were left behind (iniwan) by those who had reserves. Why? Their objective was to join the bridegroom in the festivities, and definitely not to do "GK" with "neighbors" who were also in transit. I do not mean to say that we have to be selfish; I only want to stress that what we do on earth, in our transitory life, must be such that we save ourselves in the afterlife, and that we are judged individually and not as a group (I believe so)
Correct me if I am wrong: If I do GK in its most authentic form (24/7)it is because I personally love God, by whose love I may not want to leave behind my poorer brothers in their physical distress. But I doubt "walang iwanan" holds true in the "spiritual" sense or in the sense of "spiritual well-being and freedom" because there are choices and there are choices. So, personally and mentally, I can "let go" of GK governance involving especially those whose big-headedness created havoc and confusion relative to policy, strategy, and central government in gk and CFC.
Quite "distressing" to think that it may just be "fairy tale" if I bring the concept of "walang iwanan" to the spiritual realm... but then, the bottomline really and simply is LOVING GOD AND NEIGHBOR - no further questions and analyses, not even to evaluate whether there is "iwanan" or not.
By doing this I will have stressed that GK is not just "pa-GK-GK" to earn some profane brownie points.
But rest assured, Sis Rose, I am deeply touched by your sharing and I do pray that you will be blessed always with all the good that you want shared through CFC and/or GK. Salamat, Lord!
May tama ka, Brod.
Sa MisOr, you may want to inventory those who decided to join the "mislabeled" GK group that broke away from CFC although they still use the CFC format in meetings, teachings, or maintained the CFC way of life.
The "deviant" (softer word for nagtibag-bag nga) Council and Sector Heads are mainly (hey there are exceptions, siyempre) elite, burgis, their feet not grounded because their demeanor indicate they do not really want to be with the dirt-poor. I have seen them just sit down and eat in the GK houses, smile, move around in their usually distinctive 'burgis' outfit and hurry back to their private cars and go home. Of course they give part of their money when solicited or even voluntarily, but since they are the ones who strongly opposed CFC (condemened it and took over "GK work" even if they have not even understood the basic concept and values of "kapitpahayan" vis-a-vis doing CLPs in GK villages, to mention a few points)they are a shame to those who really loved and lived the GK way!
Brod, the "GK" in MisOr is a freak baby. I hope they don't infect the real ones...AMBOT, UY.
BUT...GK..IS DOING GOOD...VERY GOOD THAT IT HAS ATTRACTED MANY AND HELP MANY...ALL WHAT IS HAPPENING TODAY IS THE DEVIL'S WAY OF LOSING OUR FOCUS OF THE WORK...I PRAISE THE LORD THAT ALL ARE HAPPENING BECAUSE IT MEANS THAT THE WORK MADE THE DEVIL UN-EASY BECAUSE OF THE TREMENDOUS EFFECT IN THE HEART OF MANY..RICH AND POOR..CHRISTIANS AND NON-CHRISTIANS, BELIEVERS AND NON-BELIEVERS, YOUNG AND OLD, AND THAT THIS WORK IS GOD'S WORK..GK MAY HAVE LESS OIL AS ONE BLOGGER HAS MENTIONED BUT ONLY GOD CAN READ THE HEART OF A TRUE BELIEVER..BECAUSE FAITH WITHOUT GOOD WORKS IS DEAD! WHO AM I TO JUDGE?..GOD BLESS..
I would like to agree with that, but it really does not satisfy me at all, who am i to judge? Well its not a matter of judging but its already obvious. Ang Sarap ata magmention ng names but well we don't know what's in their heart and i hope they will change since they are serving now in GK. Natawa lang talaga ako upon hearing the burgis, yes kase yan ang tamang salita dun sa mga taong feeling helping the poor pero not helping themselves. No offense, hindi niyo lagi maloloko mga tao around you. You know who you are.
And to tell you, many did realize of coming back again to IC because of their belief that GK misor is not anymore credible of their services in GK. How can they serve if they severe and has created disunity in CFC who has a good relationship with CFC-IC, hindi kase sila nakaantay sa mga plano ni Hesus para sa atin lahat. Don't ask me, ask them? Kawawang GK Mis Or...
Sinong credible?
BAGO YAN BROD AH? KAYA PALA NAGING COUNCIL MEMBER KASI MAY PINAGSAMAHAN NA? WOW! FORGIVE ME LORD!
As the Good Lord said," Not All Who Says LORD, LORD will enter the kingdom of heaven"..Kaya yong nagsabing marami siyang oil beware baka may halong tubig yan.
IF I DO GK IN ITS MOST AUTHENTIC FORM (24/7)... wrong ka brader! Because that is not what the Lord wants! You always mentioned 24/7! Please read again Genesis carefully! OK?
OO..NGA ANO? YONG NAG MANAGE SA CAPITOL GK NAG HOTEL NGA PARA MAKATULOG NG MAHIMBING? NAGYABANG KAPA NG 24/7? ANO KA? DIYOS?
Even God rested on the 7th day! Diba? Kaya don't yabang! Forgive me God!
The latest entries look like inputs from pea-brained brothers (?), sori. Ka c walang "jewel" and words, walang "upbuilding" spirit. Let us go back to the likes of Sister Rose.
You do not know GK as a way of life. Probably you have money, or think you have so you can proudly say enough na ang 2 hours of work in GK and the rest? Looking for ways to ask others to sever from whatever convictions they have started to live by ... and try to convince them to follow your shallow and crooked convictions, opinions, and interpretations. Get a life, brad.
Tingin ko this is not a forum for harridans like jollifly et al, mga GK advocate in MIsOr na punong-puno ng GALIT or RAGE ang kalooban. E bakit pa kayo umalis sa IC, gayung gusto nyo na man pala ang CFC way of life, at ngayon kung anu-ano na lang na katarantaduhan (pasensiya, this needs another term) ang tinatapon ninyo? Parang bata na nabigla ng pinatulan ang bluff or threat or katarantaduhan.
Aw, so, pumasok ka sa GK, or sequestered GK from CFC in MisOr para MAGPAHINGA? Tarantitit man siguro ka, brader. Walang pahinga sa GK, so totoo lang. Why, you can even bring your kan-on didto sa village and eat with your partners, di ba? And you teach them to pray (also before eating), maskin ug asa pa na sila nga lineage gikan, di ba? And all the other works of mercy...you have to do or think of doing this for your partners in GK - 24/7!!! If you do and think this way, you need not leave CFC-IC, ___shole!!!
... OR if you thought otherwise, then thank you for leaving CFC-IC that early! GOD BLESS.
"If I do GK in its most authentic form (24/7)" ...
To the PEA-BRAINED brother anonymous and Jollifly:
"If..."
By the way, just wondering whether the "brain" of the pea is as "capacitated" as that of the fly.
God forgive us!
Pre, kung GKmisor ka, live a life.
WARNING
Just because I have decided this was to be the last post does not mean a license to violate basic good manners particularly that of making dignified speech.
Like in the past, you, the particularly angry anonymous blogger (most probably belonging to the GK Group of JDF in Misamis Oriental), are dead wrong in making allusions about my person or identity as M-CDO, and it is a pity that your discernible rage and prejudice has led you away from simply being civil and polite.
Let this serve as a fair warning to toe the line in favor of expressing oneself here with a "tamed" tongue, without prejudice to my prerogative at moderating all comments vis-a-vis the basic objective of this Blog.
Thanks.
Brod, Anonymous, baka hindi mo alam na ang "GK way" ay "way of life" hanggang sa makapus ang hininga nating mga pro-GK, hind "pahuWAY" or "pahulay" sa inyong lingo na taga promdi. Kanya, tama yung sinasabing "24/7".
Better dismantle yourselves as GK in Misamis Oriental if you have only TWO HOURS PER WEEK FOR GK???!!!
Hehe. PEACE.

nuka,kurikong,er-er,dawo. he he he PEACE Na! Kaya nga tinatawag tayong Couples for Christ! Hindi Couples for IC or Couples for Sino-sino. Dapat masaya kayo dahil kong totoong para sa evangelization ang pakay nyo e di dapat look-out ninyo kahit sino dahil "you are your brothers keeper!" Ayaw niyo payon? Masama ba yon? Bageto pa sila Luis at Issa noon! Correct me if I'm wrong! OK? PEACE NA AKO..busy kasi ang GK ngayon daming trabaho..see you sa inyong pagbabalik GK!n Bye!
THIS BLOG IS FOR THE TRUTH ONLY!
Tanks.
Tsaka, pag hindi ka pa peaceful you have not yet reconciled with the Truth.
Besides, did not CFC always say that it has not abandoned the poor and that GK is part of CFC's expanded work with the poor under the ANCOP Program that includes the prison ministry, "feed my sheep" program, and the other social projects towards poverty alleviation?
Ano ba itong "babalik" sa GK? We have always been home in CFC-IC, Brader.
Wala ka atang tulog, Brader? O kaya lumalaki na ang yong problema kanya hindi mo na malaman ang tail from the head. Matulog ka kaya muna...
Its a week-end, Brod/Sis, with another set of days passing us by in prayer, in worship, in fellowship, in assemblies (for this week) and in CLPs.
May all those activities and 25/7 devotion to GK set the foundation for greater accomplishments in the coming week.
So sad.....who follow Tito Jun del were full of ANGER. Pls be mindful with ur words.
We all love GK...CFC IC just let go of the governance but not with the work dili ba diay na klaro? galing kay severe lang mga leaders sa MISOR for reasons nga taw hanon kaau tungod daw PROTOCOL ug Kamang then now create sila NEW COMMUNITY CALLED GK so they can sympatize members...IF u decide to Go with TITO JUN so be it God is unfolding his MYSTERY for all of us.
Lastly today is first friday of the month of NOVEMBER lets all pray together to Gods merciful heart that HE WILL HEAL US.God bless
SFC MISOR
Brad-
Take the case of the leaders ng MisOr Council and sectors na napunta sa isang IP area, which was conceived and initiated as an "environment" GK by a CFC brother. This brother explored the idea with the archbishop, made site visits with a parish priest that owns the project site, and held meetings with the partner-IPs together with the sponsoring CFC organizations in the area, toward establishing a GK for the watershed community of IPs.
Nung naluto ang idea at necessary ground preparations with the IP partners, pasok na ang mga "meron" na Council at Sector Leaders. No probs, they promised to tap their respective members for funding the shelter projects. Those with thicker wallets promised a house or two. Still to be concretized was the community building for watershed protection and all the attendant value formation for KB and the CLPs.
Nasaan ang "GK-GK" dito?
Well, one find sunny day, the poor parish priest who always goes to the project site with CFC whenever feasible was breaking his back clearing a land for constructing an IP-beneficiary's house, and along came the top CFC MisOro leaders (before their infamous severance from CFC) ridiculing him to pose for posterity with them "doing GK" - and after all the haughty poses, they left the poor parish priest with his clearing the bushes under the hot son while they "blissfully scampered and sought shelter nearby.
"What can we say?"
Most of those who posed a fakery of a posterity doing a "GK" village for the IPs unilaterally broke away from CFC for dubious reasons and now shamelessly cling like lizards to the GK name.
About the parish priest whose back-breaking work at clearing the area for a GK house was greeted with ridiculous smiles from the lazy CFC leaders scampering for shelter from the hot sun, the latter have been his parishes' major benefactors.
Ay, buhay. It is stale, walang lasa ang GK nila.
I feel BLESSED reading the sharing of Sister Rose.
I feel SHAKEN in a positive way from my 'comfort' zone thinking that we have always to help those who have less in life through GK. Why? Because their having less might be due to their own faults or their own makings, like purposely not planning and implementing their God-given lives so that they have "enough oil to wait on the bridgroom," so to speak.
I am CONVINCED that working in GK is 24/7 just like devoting oneself to CFC life is 24/7.
BUT, I DISLIKE and CONDEMN the short-sightedness of a tired brother and GK-of-del-Fierro die-hard whose mind may have been twisted by trying hard to justify the objectively wrong act of severing ties with CFC-IC, and by his lionizing JDF for his monies; pity that this Brad can wrongly argue that being for GK or CFC-IC is mutually exclusive. Hellooo?
Happy week-end, tanan!
Attend ko chapter assembly. CFC ko, uy! No need to mention nga secure ko nga naay basbas sa Vatican ang akong gisundan nga IC. GOD BLESS.
Hello! I've been reading this blog after a friend accidentaly forwarded a message which bares the link. As I look at it, it seems that people here have still a long way to go towards Holiness! May all of you learn from your teachings. I guess you have. Right? So sorry for my intervention. I am just a concern brother's keeper. May God bless you all!
Anong GK nila? Salamat!
Hay mas marami pa rin ang naniniwala sa CFC-IC and not in CFC GK, Masyadong Shallow ang kanilang stand and hindi firm ang kanilang foundation. Actually mas meron nga tayong right sa GK kase we have given the permission to serve. Baka isipin nila na we are evading there property. Hehehehe....
Thanks God, madami pa din ang bumabalik sa CFC IC despite some of them went there sa Rebels. They realized that walang katuturan ang pinaglalaban nila.
Kasali ba kayo?
Sori this is a corrupted version that Tagalog "kundiman" ata.)
To the outsider-anonymous of November 7, 2009 6:32 AM -
Tanks, Brod!
Ngayon you see our struggle from the purview of "holiness".
Looking from that perspective, I wonder what good, holy words can be expressed finding yourself in a "deep shit" defecated by your respected leaders, or amidst dirt-papers they wiped their behinds with?
Pity that they could think we were a community of unthinking nincompoops and impress on the whole world that, together with them, we were leaving CFC for good... (cf. their letter of severance dated July 30, 3009 - HERE).
Pardon that this can be truly an 'unholy' speech, springing from 'unholy' and tragic events that were triggered by our leaders' arrogance...
Still, thank you for expressing your concern, Brod/Sis.
Please pray for us.
Brow/Sis:
Wish to share with you...
SOMETHING REALLY GOOD TO CROW ABOUT, AND SOME INSIGHTS, TOO
Yesterday evening (Friday, Nov. 6) began the two-day Holy Retreat of some 200 Mindanao CFC Leaders in the Diocesan Formation Center of Malaybalay City, with His Excellency Bukidnon Diocesan Bishop Honesto Pacana, SJ, DD, Spiritual Director of CFC in Mindanao, as the Retreat Master. That turnout exceeded the expected number of 180 participant-leaders to break-even the cost. PRAISE THE LORD!
Bukidnon events "triggered" MisOr top CFC leaders' severance of ties with CFC-IC. Yet, surprisse! The Bukidnon CFC has remained ONE, SOLID WHOLE, the Spirit working mightily on the reorganized Council, with not a single week not having a new batch of CLP graduates. Along the banks of Maradugao River to the border town of Banisilan in Cotabato, CLPs are dedicated week after week after week in Bukidnon, and thousands of YFC and SFC are involved in parish work as their leaders engage the parish priests in regular dialogues to update them about CFC. And the KFC? Ow, they won during the last IKV International Competition for their musical presentation (imagine young children doing the strings and the keyboard!) and they are wanted in special events for their sought-after talents!!! "Oh, yes, and does the Spirit work, mightily, indeed!" does a CFC member joyfully proclaim.
...and further, this observation by a Bukidnon CFC leader:
"Since Bukidnon has remained intact and strong for CFC-IC, even as the events there in late July, 2009, caused the defunct MisOr Council and Sector Heads (less one who retracted) to unilaterally sever ties with CFC-IC...
"MIGHT IT HAVE BEEN THAT THOSE EVENTS IN BUKIDNON (IN JULY 2009)WERE ONLY INSTRUMENTS TO TAKE OUT CFC IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL FROM THE CLUTCHES OF THE EVIL ONE? MEANING, WHAT THE DEFUNCT MISOR TOP LEADERS INAPPROPRIATELY PROTESTED AGAINST AS GESTAPO-LIKE PROCESS OF OF REPLACING THE BUKIDNON CFC COUNCIL - IN LATE JULY, 2009 - EQUALLED A BOMB'S FIRING PIN BEING REMOVED THERE, BUT ACTUALLY INTENDED TO BLAST TO SMITHEREENS THE DARK FORCES DOMINATING THE CFC COMMUNITY IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL?"
Well, some insightS, indeed... because now Bukidnon leads in expressing that Mindanao is a bastion of CFC restoration and renewal, affirming unity with the CFC-International Council and with the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
Thank you.
Share pud ko this good input I overheard during a chapter assembly yesterday:
COUPLES ON CYCLES
(CFC COUPLES ON THEIR MOTORCYCLES JOINING THE CFC-MISAMIS ORIENTAL ANNIVERSARY PARADE THIS COMING NOVEMBER 22)
It is informed that Bro. Jun Waga. CFC Area Director for Misamis Oriental, approved the proposal by some brothers with motorcycles to make the CFC anniversary parade around the City more GRAND, COLORFUL AND JOYFUL by riding with their wives on motorcycles - with flaglets and in styles that befit the 22nd CFC ANNIVERSARY IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL this coming November 22, 2009.
Coordinating this COUPLES ON CYCLES (CFC ON CYCLES) is Chapter 5 under Brother Frank Ibale, under Cluster 8, Sector B. Couples with motorcylces who are interested to join may contact Brother Frank. (Will the cycles play different music pieces? Wow!)
COUPLES IN CYCLES
IN STYLE.
GANDA ATA TO, NO?
COUPLES IN CYCLES
IN STYLE.
GANDA ATA TO, NO?
Wow, we SFC and the rest of the CFC family would like to participate on this in order to show that we are always one together despite of the crisis happened this year. Am sure this would help us to regain our firmness in our commitment and bonding together. I pray that this would be a successful one. Those who left the community, apil pud mo ani, its not yet too late. Ipadaplin sa na inyong pride diha...
MCDO- Just a reminder from CBCP MONITOR..
The CFC – GK Strife And The Rest Of The Laity
THE Gawad Kalinga phenomenal success in building homes for the poor was originally a social outreach for the poor by the organization Couples for Christ, which started in 1995. To date, with the progress of the implementation of their GK777 target declared in 2003 i.e., to build 700,000 homes in 70,000 communities in 7 years, and with the support of many interested sponsors donating funds for the project, in due time they will be successful in meeting the GK777 targets.
Then in 2006, Gawad Kalinga and Tony Meloto, head Elder, received the prestigious honor of the Ramon Magsaysay Award both for community service and as an individual. Another award was given to him the Philippine Daily Inquirer Award as the Most Outstanding Filipino of the year 2006. While Gawad Kalinga was mentioned as a project of Couples for Christ chaired by Frank Padilla, the focus of the awards was Tony Meloto’s achievement.
Last June 22 during CFC’s 26th anniversary, the election of the new officers, that is, of the Elders Assembly of Couples for Christ, was held. Prior to this there were separate meetings held between CFC elders siding with Frank Padilla and those with Tony Meloto at the invitation of the member bishops of the CBCP Episcopal Commission on the Lay Apostolate. The Bishops recommended that the elections be postponed (to avoid the break up) until such time that agreement on both sides could be reached. Frank Padilla’s concern was that Gawad Kalinga was veering away from CFC’s mission. He expressed, “The basic danger is that GK will become a SOCIAL work that has lost its SPIRITUAL foundation. Couples for Christ because of Gawad Kalinga is veering away from the vision/mission of CFC and from Catholic teachings and because of Gawad Kalinga’s enough manpower and resources are not given to the other ministries of CFC, like evangelization and catechesis”. Coming out with this grave accusation and the breaking away of Couples for Christ from Gawad Kalinga now that it has gained international recognition, is a big concern for the Catholic Laity in general.
Despite the Bishops’ advice to the two factions to postpone the elections, which formalizes the leadership control of Gawad Kalinga, and to deliberate further on the resolution of their problem, the elections were held and there are now two factions, Gawad Kalinga and Couples for Christ for Family and Life. This puts a dilemma on the Vatican recognition of Couples for Christ. Ironically, not even the Council of the Laity under the Episcopal Commission on the Lay Apostolate has a direct line to the Vatican. Couples for Christ, through Mr. Frank Padilla was able to get that privilege from the Pontifical Council for the Laity. In its statutes, it states, “Couples for Christ (CFC) is a private international association of the faithful of pontifical right recognized by the Pontifical Council of the Laity. It is committed to the work of global evangelization and renewal, with the goal of winning the world for Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit”
This break away from the mother organization is not the first incident of its kind. In the 1950’s, the Christian Family Movement was brought to the Philippines by Pat and
Patty Crawley of Chicago bringing with them the Inquiry Method (Observe Judge Act) of Cardinal Joseph Cardijn. This was adopted by the Christian Family Movement headed by Tony and Teresa Nieva here in the Philippines. In 1969, Fr. Gabriel Calvo of Spain introduced the Marriage Encounter (ME). The evangelization process was very much liked by Filipino couples hence the Marriage Encounter groups grew rapidly. Quoting from CFMs 50th Anniversary Book, A Journey of 50 Years, the breaking away of an apostolate group is described:
“The first local Marriage Encounter was heldduring a weekend conducted by Fr.Reuben Tanseco, S.J., and Sito and Sony Sison with other CFM officers at the Loyola Retreat House in Angono, Rizal, in October 1969. Soon after, it was replicated in Metro Manila, Baguio City, Batangas, Quezon, Cebu and Davao.
“To meet the growing demand, several priests and encountered couples were trained to conduct the weekend for CFMers as well as non CFMers. Among the latter were members of a Catholic charismatic community called Ligaya ng Panginoon (The Lord’s Joy). After some time, its spiritual director, Fr.Herbert Schneider, S.J., expressed the desire of its encountered members to make their follow-up activity a charismatic prayer meeting. Fr. Schneider requested CFM assistance in formulating a suitable program. So was born one of the earlier charismatic groups which evolved into Couples for Christ whose first meetings were held in Quezon City.”
This was not the end of the break-away phenomenon. Trying to improve on the M.E. Calvo format, the Jesuit priests made the Marriage Encounter groups more relevant to the family challenges of the day especially when they started using M.E. guidebooks for meetings addressing local needs. With this success, the original Marriage Encounter apostolate broke away from the Christian Family Movement. Other family life groups like Bukas Loob sa Diyos was formed which split into another faction, SERVIAM.
With these events that had transpired we pose the following questions: Should the break-away of an apostolate from the original organization be considered as a normal phenomenon of growth? What is the stand of CBCP on this matter? While public associations are directly supervised by CBCP through ECLA, Couples for Christ as a private association accessed worldwide influence through the Pontifical Council of the Laity. Now that there is an internal dissension, should it not be the duty of the Pontifical Council of the Laity to mediate? Will the formation of the Couples for Christ for Family and Life as a private association be under the direction of the Episcopal Commission on Family and Life or under the direction of the Episcopal Commission on the Lay Apostolate?
This break-up may possibly diminish support for Gawad Kalinga’s Housing for the Poor. This will be a great disservice to the poor, not only of GK projects in the Philippines but also in other parts of the world. The poor and the hungry can not be evangelized without first having the basic necessities of life, rice and viand on the table, and roof over their heads. To discontinue the building of homes for the poor is a greater roadblock to the evangelization of the laity.
May God be Praised very imformative!
Am so COnfused with TITO JUN Delfeirro & his leaders now...THEY SEVER ties in CFC IC kay mag GK sila but they FOCUS now on SAME ACTIVITIES at same DATES sa CFC IC! but thnx GOd for the PKV God didnt allow us to go with same Dates na supposed to be we sched it first. & NOW DOROTHY MAANO sent in YAHOO SFC group about the SFC 15th ANNIVERSARY jsut got wonder nag 15 years na diay sila? Ive been in SINGLES for CHRIST in MISOR for 11 yrs bt we celebrate SFC anniversary long time ago na jud kay g join ni kuya jigs sa CFC annversary bfore & now karon balik ni kuya jigs pero dili n man xia IC diba? makalibog jud sila ai...Supposed to be create n lang unta sila NEW ACTIVITIES oi kay NEW COMMUNITY na bya SILA...COZ they SEVER ties na but why is it they will celebrate 15th anniversary....naku GOD PLEASE HELP US.
Diba? So ayaw nalang gud mo panaway uy! Basin molapas mo..OK?
OK? Naa man ko ID CFC pasudlon pod ko uy! Aron madugangan isa ang gidaghanon..See you! Bye!
Of course, welcome ang tanan to have a look of and feel the celebration of the people of God in CFC. Di ba?
If you recall, our YFC were advised that they were free to join the "YFC" celebrations of the separatist group of JDF last month, but that that they should be cautious especially in cases that will put them in an embarrassing such as being challenged by a die-hard member of JDF why they could be in a place for "GK-YFC" and not for "CFC-YFC".
Perhaps that brother "from the other side" who intends to come and make a documentation of our CFC anniversary will consider the above points.
Certainly the anniversary celebrations is free for sharing with all peace-loving people; but then, if from within you are the enemy who doesn't really conform with the CFC anniversary festivities, better avoid being placed in an embarrasing situation...
I've tried that, niapil ko sa JDF group kay para makabalo ta sa ila reforms pero it seems dili jud ko didto belong. Lain ra jud. As i can see, political kaayo ilang pamaagi and mura sila ug trapo sa atubangan. Sorry CFC GK.
Ngano man gyud nga butangan man nato CFC-IC ang ato ngalan diba CFC is the name recognized sa Vatican? Sa ana man gud as if ato na gi accept na ok na ila CFC-FFL and CFC-GK...diba? Kay sige man ta ingon gud dili na sila CFC? O kaha pasagdan nalang nato..na sila? Kay anyway for Christ man pod sila. Salamat..
OK, agree ko with the proposition nga there is only one CFC - the Vatican-approved CFC. So, stop na use of terms for original/mainstram and for separatists/rebels. Tutal, by their words or expressions, we will know those who speak from the heart of the real CFC. Tanks.
Halo!
Sila FFL ug GK! Kon butangan nila CFC-FFL o CFC-GK ila ngalan kita CFC ra gyod para maklaro nga kita ang original! Kay kon ato man gud butangan CFC-IC murag equals rata. Maayo nga CFC ra ato tawag. Dina nata mangutana," asa man ka IC? or GK! Pag-ingon CFC ko meaning ang orig..dili Hybrid or pirated! Di ba? God bless CFC!
Wow! Nice kaayo na! Salamat bro! From now on we will call CFC-GK(Hybrid) na the new group! Mas up-building! Di ba? Wow nice bro! Nice!
Finally, a "solution in words" for our conflict in MisOr.
Puede na Hybrid sila sa GK or GK HYBRID. No probs.
Final name sa new CFC group sa MisOr..CFC-GK (Hybrid) Faith In Action..modagan bisan unsa..pwede gasolina, crudo, alcohol, methane, tubig, battery, etc..basta tanan...way pili-on..Tama? So? Vamos! HAPPY CFC ANNIVERSARY! HAPPY CFC-FFL ANNIVERSARY! HAPPY CFC-GK ANNIVERSARY! HAPPY FIESTA! HAPPY ALL!
Suggestion Lang MCDO! After bitaw sa Anniversary, ato nani undangon blog ha? Sige man ko kapulaw ani! Ganahan man gud kog tsismis uy!
When CFC let of governance of GK we did not let go of the work with the poor but we strengthen it.
I love GK as facilitator for how many years sa Sagip. When the let go of governance last APRIL it really HURTS but I do understand & WE OBEY.
BUT I HAVE a sharing in our GK SITES. naa nag donate MONEY to build a house months after g stop kay wla na money but kulang ang bintana ug ceiling so no question at all kay we trusted the leader nga nag gunit sa money but wla jud nalikayan naa jud nag question but NO black & white sa expenses gipakita.SO That house we used to be there during our SAGIP session every sunday but lately 2yrs ago na we cant used it anymore kay NAA na ga sa SUGAL(GAMBLING) sa sulod sa house ug ang silingan GK house gihapon naay computer KARERA..so sad luoy kaau ang mga Bata. unya wala jud nabadlong.
ISA lang ni ka GK SITES nga MIRROR sa PROBLEMa na akong nakita thats y ge let go ang governance sa GK so naa jud maka focus.
NOW HOPing & PRAY this will be solve. So I suggest ila activity focus sa GK....dili kay competensyaan ang CFC...
GOD knows our heart gyud.
MAY GOD BE PRAISED.
CFC-SFC misor
Bitaw, manghambog pa jud ng GK hybrid nga dako ila achievement pero sa tinuod they themselves cannot manage the spiritual and practical needs of GK. Mao na naa na sila napasagdan nga GK site. Well its a challenge for them on how they can cope up with that. I have heard a brother after the replacement of leadership in one of the GK sites, nakita nila nga gipasagdan ra daw sila sa ila previous nga GK leaders. What a shame. I hope whoever you are severing from CFC, your not worthy to belong at GK Hybrid.
Mao nga kon nakita ninyo diha nga tabangonon ang kahimtang sa GK tabang mo imbes manaway kay kita tanan "we are our brothers keepers!". Tanan welcome man mo ani kay ato man ni tanan!
Ang pangutana, where is your faith and loyalty? if you believe on our covenant to obey, then why severe? Kay napahiuna ang pride? So reflect kuno bro, basin nadala lang ka anang blood is thicker than water. God Bless.
As SFC serving Sagip every sunday for almost 2 hours sa GK site we address that problems to the GK leaders ana na site bt dnt know unsa ila action...kay if kami mamadlong we dnt have dat right kay kulatado man gani iya wife basin matipsingan me apil heheh & also murag dili sila Catholic na Gk benefiary.
But God is unfolding its MYSTERY for all of us We move forward na & infact BISHOP LEDESMA Installed & Blessed d NEwly appointed council leaders sa Grand Caprice sa MOVING FORWARD.
God bless us all.
Amen to you bro.
Klaro man iya memo ba. So Padayon namo diha. E identify na ninyo unsa nga site inyo gusto! STEAG ba? PHIVEDEC ba? NESTLE ba? Unsa pabor ninyo! OK? Will see next anniversary ninyo unsa pod inyo accomplishment! Galing pirme man pod wa ma-imbetar kay mura mag lisod no?
Where is your obedience bro... Ikaw ra man siguro ang blind. Liwat jud ka sa imong giliwatan. Magpahealing of the family siguro ka. Daghan ka issues.
Sundog sundog raman na nga pangutana "where is your faith and loyalty"! God bless bro.
Ok go on. Take care always bro...
Pamalandungi kuno bro..
Did i say anything else bro? I said go on...
try mo. Kung kaya mo. Hanggang Salita lang naman kayo...
to anonymous of November 9, 2009 1:38 PM... why are you confused?! if you stuck it out with CFCIC, then activities for CFCGK is none of your concern. it's as simple as that. duh.
wala man, huna huna ra na nimo.
God bless us all
"confused ang members"?! lumang tugtugin na man na, part! i thought we're through that already. everybody who stuck it out with the IC went to the IC already. katong nag-GK, walang iwanan.. nag-uban sa GK. so what's the problem man?! gusto sad ka mo-apil sa anniv sa GK?! whats there to be confused about? i thought mag-move on na ta tanan? and you call YOUR brothers and sisters, who went with GK, all sorts of vile things like "rebel", "waay ulaw", et al... then kami pa ang gina-pray ninyo na ma-ulaw dapat. check yourself first brother/sister. anyway, we are serving God the way we see fit. that is why you rarely hear us say anything about you guys. kasabot mi na lahi2 ato pamaagi sa serbisyo sa Ginoo. i hope you realize that na dili lang man kamo ra sa IC ang mka-langit. brother/sister, i thank you for all your prayers. dili lang unta pakapinan ug harsh words. let it go.
by the way, in case you didnt know, WE wanted SFC and YFC intact. SFCIC in manila wanted everyone intact. STATUS QUO ang ingon ni tito aldy. how come the IC wanted the kids to choose na man? cge man pangutana na "IC ka or GK". syempre, pressured ang SFC and YFC to choose nga dili man unta cla ipa-choose. intact pa unta karon. i just hope and pray that the friendships that they have established over the years sa SFC and YFC dili mawala. we are all brothers and sisters in christ wherever we choose to go.
acceptance, forgiveness, moving on.
Wow hanep, may i know who's speaking please? Setting aside ang hinambog ha, wala man jud difference jud satoa, kamo ra man naging indifferent. Unta nagsevere mo with a graceful exit pero kabalo baya mo sa mga intentions and background sa inyo leaders, they have unsettled issues and gahimo lang na nila ug excuse in order for them to protect their interests. Well as i said kamo ra man gihapon ang mahimong dautan kay kamo man ang nipalayo. Unta when you severe, make sure nga don't make yourself righteous kay it will not do good to those who are following faithfully. Nahimo intawon mo ug reference sa uban nga wala kasabot ngano nagsevere mo or in other words brainwashing. As of the moment stick ta sato belief. Tell your friends the truth why you severe and not asking them to support you. We know how attached the sfc and yfc sa inyo, because estudyante pa lang sa CC, brainwashed na sa ilang pagtoo. I won't let my kids go there because am sure na maindoctrinate ra sila. Chow!
HI Padis,
Never I mentioned harsh words here explain lang ko confusion why we have same annniversaries na U form new community naman? & gidaot man ninu CFC name bfore & now u used CFC & same date sa anniversary so makalibog jud nu mga decision.
:-) atong heart diha...
BTW wala diay ka kabasa sa MEMO ni KUYA ALDY & MELO VILLAROMAN last OCt 6? katong naa jud Signature ba luoy ko imo bro I will still continue include u in my prayers.
If nag step down lang pud kuya Jigs & submit whole SFC wala jud PRoblema unta dili pud ma devide galing kay ga hold p man gud xia taas nuon kaau ang agony...& besides HE CHOOSE first thats why gi pa choose na jud ang down n leader sa SFC & members.
U want Status QUO but so clear na ur all GK & Pls dont be blinded wd the Unity u want to happen bec Unity nga nisunod ka sa nag disobey is NOT real Unity.
May God bless u brother..i know ur SFC.
SFC pud ko & were still remain friends & brothers whereever we go.
Everything was happend was so painful but were ok na jud...Il envite u to our anniversary also...YOUr all welcome.
i just finished chow, thank you.
since you asked nicely, i am michael of the sfc transparochial chapter. and you are...?
wala man diay difference na! and yes, we do tell our friends the truth, and guess what... they still want to stick it out with GK. well, some friends went with IC but we don't mind. we RESPECT our friends' decisions. i think the only difference lang sa ato is we're still friends sa people who went with IC/you. we still hang out, worship together, sing songs, etc. ngano man mag-away mi? y'know, i attended an assembly sa IC at the provincial hospital chapel, and you know what they told me at the door? "maau k wala mo nag-away sa imo magulang na GK rba sya". boOm! kelangan diay gyud mag-away?! ginoo ra man ghapn amo serbisyohan, part! i went to that assembly to hear your truths as i already heard the truths sa GK na side.
and regarding YFC sa corpus christi, what is this brainwashing you're talking about? did you personally hear or see things to make you say such accusations? the coordinator for YFC sa corpus christi is a reeeally good friend of mine and i tell you, DILI GAPANGHILABOT si tito jun del fierro sa activities nila. and if you're thinking the GK immersion sa seniors is brainwashing, let your kids go to xavier. ga-GK sad sila didto. ma-"brainwash" ra ghapon sila.
and the YFCs and SFCs who stuck with GK have all heard the truth... and they DECIDED to stick it out with us. and we respect that decision. for our friends who decided to go with IC, we also respect their decision, and as i said, we're still friends.
oh, and "...when you severe, make sure nga don't make yourself righteous kay it will not do good to those who are following faithfully."... kinsa man nagpaka-righteous, bro/sis!? we just present the truth. we even gave them a link to this blog para mka-decide sila ug maau. is it not up to the listener to decide which truth he/she follows? we do not tell our friends na dili sila mka-langit if dili sila mo-uban sa amo. we let them choose for themselves.
thanks anonymous of November 12, 2009 12:53 PM. thank you for your prayers and for the invitation. who knows, we might even be friends. hehehe. anyways, i read the memos and what i'm referring to was the 1st one after the conference in bukidnon. ayaw'g kaluoy sa ako k i too am well-informed. i have been in the community for 15 years, as YFC and now SFC. but thank you bro/sis. kami sad nasakitan when some of our friends decided to stick it out with IC. but time heals all wounds but God heals even the deepest of wounds. we're ok na also. it just hurts me when you label us "rebels" and "hybrids", et al. we are still, as tito mon said, your brothers and sisters in christ... but with a different way of serving the Lord. we do not deserve to be treated that way. we just made a decision to stick it out with the GK group and i hope you respect that decision. so thank you also and have a nice day. =)
hmmmmm i saw n in Prv hospital.
Well if u made that decision we cannot take that against u will remain our brothers in Christ.
Ai katong Memo after sa Bukidnon? wala man to SIGNATURE kinsa naa adto nga time unya complain gani TITO VENUS kay naa kulang na mga statement minutes raman to kuya Jigs.
BTW Abi naku u were hurt when TITO Jun wrote a SEVER Ties katong sakit bitaw kaau na letter na dili jud ma eat ug DOG bitaw it is a deep sorrow for all of us seeing this crisis...unexpected but nahitabo jud. BUT as u have said TIME WILL HEAL & GOD is the GREAT HEALER.
AMEN
Hello All:
1. Ang grup JDF boluntaryong mihawa sa CFC apan, bluff lang kadto kay gusto pa man pahawid (sama ana anonymous nga maskin suko gusto pa gayud sa CFC life); sa ato pa, mga liders nga kulang ug pastoring, ug dili maka exercise ug servant-leadership. Ngano?
2. Sila grupo JDF ug mga council nato kaniadto, suportado sa nag tibagbag nga sector heads dili ganahan (refused to) attend mga leadership teachings sa CFC, ug sa arrogantly dismissed them as "LOUSY".
3. Sa dihang gidawant ang ilang hinambog nga letter pag-sever, nanumbong dayon sa mga miyembro sa kon unsa na lang nga mga complain, ug kani wala masubay sa CFC kay wala man gani sila maminaw sa mga leadership teachings for the past two years!
So, OK and collaborasyon sa mga ordinaryong GK ug CFC followers, except in Misamis Oriental kay NANGHAWA NA MAN GAYUD SA CFC ANG GRUPO DEL FIERRO.
5. So, ensakto and prayer for each other.
6. Puede sila mo-justify nga ang salvation or work with God wala may discrimination, so they can use the format of CFC. K lang siguro, peru walay silay katungod, ug unta ang ilang good spirit maulaw nga makiglantugi bahin CFC ug GK nga gi-mugna sa CFC kay mibiyan na man sila. Remember, IT IS THEIR GOOD SPIRIT THAT SHOULD BE ASHAMED. If not, then we condemn that other spirit to hell and bind it their in the mighty name of Jesus.
Agree.
Another matter: Kanang Padi's Point, lugar kana kaniadto dinhi sa CDO nga kainan, branch or a franchise of a Manila-based restaurant that was suspect promoting drug dependence...
That was also the trade name for the Antipolo lodging place of Frank Padilla, the person who left CFC with bad taste.
I wonder if the brother that writes with the pseudonym of "Padi's Point" is revealing a "psychological slip" or "eyeview" about his person. Else, just a simple coincidence or an ordinary use of a familiar name.
Just wondering...
SUGGEST KO CLOSE NA NI BECAUSE IT DOES NOT PROMOTE CHRISTIAN SPEECH, ESPECIALLY NGA WALA ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF WRONGDOING. IN SOME INSTANCES, SIGE LANG DEFEND, DEFEND SA SAYOP.
IF DILI CLOSE NI MCDO, SUGGEST KO BAG-O POST LIKE:
PUBLISH LETTER OF BRO. MELO VILLAROMAN REMOVING GERARD QUIAOT FROM SFC
MGA GOOD MEMORIES AS CFC (BEFORE THE REBELLION)
OTHERS...
Sabi nung yumaong respected Philippine Star columnist na si Ka Teodoro Benigno nung makita niya ang usually high-heeled Ms Montelibano melting with the poor in a Manila GK Village: "I have seen the future..."
I have not seen those "nouveau riche" in Cagayan de Oro who pride themselves as die-hard "Hybrid CFC-GK" followrs melding or mingling with the dirt-poor at the GK sites.
Their pro-poor stand through GK appears to be only made for POLITICAL posturings (mantakin mong "magpahuway" daw sa trabaho-GK with 2 hours a week work lang instead of being GK 24/7) as they are now devoid of CFC annointment.
SO, NAKIKITA KO NA HINDI MALAYO ANG IMPIYERNO SA KANILANG KINALALAGYAN...GOD BE MERCIFUL IF ITO NGA ANG FUTURE NILA SA CFC-GK MISOR.
Hilo?
CFC-GK (kuno)
pro-poor
sever from CFC
dili LOUSY speaker-leader
GK-SUGAL
GK-KARERA
GK-KURIKONG
GK-PANGATOL
etc.
Maybe, enough already. Let's close this blog. GOD BLESS US ALL.
Hello Micheal From Padi's Point. Product of the brainwashed community...
